Annihilation

"It's all very simple really." Matt said to Jeremy. "This line here tells the computer to let the variable 'x' equal a number, for now let's say 7, and then the next line tells it to let 'y' equal, let's say 5. Then the final line tells it to have 'x' plus 'y' to equal some obscene number, which for now will be 999." Matt typed in some numbers into the document they had open.

Matt had learned how to make this virus from his good friend Bryan a while back. Matt was an okay computer programmer, especially for only being 13, but Bryan was much better, and had taught Matt quite a few things. A few things he probably never should have taught him too.

English mother******, you speaking it?" Jeremy said in reply to what Matt said to him about the virus. "I swear, if you say that one more time, I'll upload this to any and all technological devices you have," Matt said "But in english it means you're teaching the computer that 7+5=999, which doesn't work out well with any of the calculations it uses." "Aah." replied Jeremy. "So what happens if you upload this to a computer?" "Chaos, Destruction, Despair. It's a hacker's saying. Chaos means 'Extreme confusion or disorder.' Destruction means 'Destroying or being destroyed.' Despair means 'Loss of hope.' Chaos and destruction are the ones happening to the computer, and despair, well, it's a loss of hope for the computer." Said Matt. "It's actually Bryan's saying, but it fits just about any virus."

Matt was about 5' 4" and weighed about 115 lbs., with a small bone frame and a skin tone a tad lighter than most. He always wore baggy jeans, and a blue shirt. If it was cold, or sometimes even if it wasn't, he'd wear a sweatshirt over it. If his hands weren't typing, then they were most likely in his pocket.

"Anyway, that pretty much ends it right there. Just save this as a *.sys on the computer you want infected, and it's toast. Pretty simple virus, of course it is repairable." Matt said to Jeremy as he closed down the document and shut down the computer. In reply, Jeremy said, "Why don't you crash the school computers?" "Cameras in every computer room, finger prints, morons who tell on you for the cash, need I say more?"

Matt got up and decided to, once again, mindlessly walk around. He didn't know why, he just felt like it. "Maybe I'll get something to eat." he thought. It's not like he really needed it, he could go days without food. He has gone days without food. 'I could go biking down towards In Concert, they always have good stuff. Poster for my room, giant pixie sticks, normal pixie sticks, any of that. All those stores have good stuff." He thought.

Matt's mind wandered often. He loved to bike, program (especially HTML, Javascript, and CSS), and once in a while enjoy a game of basketball. He used to play basketball, even though he never made it to the traveling team. It didn't really matter though, he enjoyed it while it lasted, and enjoys that he can say "I used to play basketball" without lying. And every once in a while he can go out and play, without being ridiculed about being a bad player.
