How to draw Gauntlet's hair

Okay, I get it. Nobody gets how I drew my character - Gauntlet's - hair AT ALL. Quick got it right, but it apparently took four hours to do. So I've drawn this easy-to-remember step-by-step guide!

1) Draw Gauntlet's fase. It's easy!
2) Give Gauntlet big-ass hair as shown here. I designed Gauntlet before I really knew how to draw anime, so his hair doesn't make sence if you think about it 3-dimensionally. So don't even try! Most people stop at this step, but there's two more steps to go!
3) Gauntlet gets his hair cut, so draw in "cuts" at the tip of those "bangs". This gives Gauntlet his "coiff" look. Notice: the hair close to his head is angled, not curved. He uses alot of gel I guess. Or maybe he was dropped on the top of his hjead as a child. I think it looks cool tho. That flat part is the proper way to draw it. Gauntlet's entire look is angular and boxy. His hair reflects this.
4) Erase and cleanup. There you go!

Gauntlet's hair is a cross between my existing Kids Stuff chratacer - Candice (girl in orange, has a big "C" on her chest ... can't miss her on my covers) and Dragonball's Goku (I was watching too much DBZ at the time).

So - there you go! Draw Gauntlet's hair this way and get it perfect EVERY TIME!
