Series 3 Issue # 17 - Run in at N. Sanity Beach

After the strange time merge in Korea, Lennon has left the Soul Blade game with his friends Hwang Sung Kwang and Seung Mina. Now their journey has reached a beach.

Lennon: Hmm. This place does seem familiar.

Seung Mina: It’s a beach Lennon. Surely you must’ve seen a beach in your life.

Lennon: Of course I know it’s a beach. What do you think Hwang?

Hwang: Well why don’t we just stay here and find out where this is.

Seung Mina: Good. I reckon I need a good tan.

Lennon: Well, If you need me I’ll be in the forest training.

Hwang: I’ll stay here you never know when trouble will come.

Seung Mina: Go ahead Hwang. I can take care of my self. I’m not a little girl anymore.

Hwang: No I must protect you. Your father would never forgive me if I lost you.

Seung Mina: Hwang! Don’t make me get out my spear!

Lennon: Do what Mina says Hwang. I’ve seen what she can do. She’s quite a fighter.

Seung Mina: Thank you Lennon.

Later in the forest…

Lennon: Hwang why are you and Mina following me anyway?

Hwang: Because after what happened against that dragon I thought you might need some help. Mina just tagged along.

Lennon: I can take care of myself. After all I am Gemini Man.

Hwang: Indeed you are. But I think you’re still no match for all of Wily’s men alone.

Lennon: Fine. Whatever you say. I guess I might need some help if Wily sent Omni Man against me.

Suddenly an orange bandicoot crashes into Lennon.

Lennon: What the…!

Lennon and Hwang draw their weapons.

Lennon: Wait a sec. Hwang put your sword away. It’s just Crash Bandicoot*

*Most of you should be familiar with Crash Bandicoot the ‘mascot’ for the Playstation. He’s an orange bandicoot with red sneakers and jeans. Most of the time you’ll find him on the beach either dancing or taking a nap, other times he’ll be stopping the evil Dr Neo Cortex and Uka-Uka from taking over the world with the help of his brainy sister Coco and Witch Doctor Mask Aku-Aku. Crash his skilled at driving any vehicle and likes Wumpa fruit.

Hwang: I guess you played a lot of Crash Bandicoot in your time. Other wise he wouldn’t be here.

Lennon: What I want to know is why I’m here at what seems to be N Sanity Beach. Have you got any idea Crash?

Crash: *shrugs his shoulders*

Hwang: Not much of a talker.

Lennon: Oh well I guess there’s no use standing here. Let’s just get Mina and leave.

Lennon and Hwang leave but Crash follows them and begins to get annoying.

Lennon: What is it Crash?

Crash: *starts dancing around and making funny gestures*

Lennon: Ok, then. Um, Hwang what do you think?

Hwang: I think he wants us to follow him.

Crash: *nods in excitement*

Lennon and Hwang follow Crash until they reach a small house.

Voice: Who is it? I’m working on a computer program. Oh it’s you Crash.

Lennon: You must be Coco Bandicoot, The sister of Crash Bandicoot. Expert Computer hacker.

Coco: That’s me! And from the look of it you’re Lennon also known as Gemini Man.

Lennon: Yeah. Tell me why I'm here. I already know I'm connected to the Video game world, so why should I be here?

Coco: Well I can’t say anything. Maybe Aku-Aku can tell you. Crash could you find Aku-Aku?

Crash: *playing with his yo-yo*

Coco: Crash! Go find Aku-Aku!

Crash: *gets tangled up and falls over*

Coco: Fine I’ll get him.

A few minutes later Coco comes back with Aku-Aku the witch doctor mask.

Aku-Aku: So you are the one they call Lennon.

Lennon: Yes. Why am I here?

Aku-Aku: You are here so you can find out your past. Young Coco here can help you.

Lennon: And how’s that?

Aku-Aku: By hacking into the files of the only one that should know about your existence.

Coco: Gotcha Aku-Aku.

Lennon: Hwang. You better get Mina. So she knows where we’re going.

Hwang: Indeed. I’ll go find her.

As Hwang leaves Coco has hacked into files of the one which holds Lennon’s past.

Lennon: So who is this guy I’m looking for?

Aku-Aku: Isn’t it obvious? It’s the one that captured you.

Lennon: Wily? But why him? Could I ask other people I know.

Aku-Aku: I’m afraid that’s not possible.

Lennon: Why not?

Aku-Aku: I cannot say.

Coco: Here you go. All the information you’ll need to get to Wily’s hideout. Crash can show you the way.

Crash: *taking a nap*

Lennon: Never mind. I carry him along. Aku-Aku, How do you know all this?

Aku-Aku: When your spirit was here you would always compare this Dr Wily character with Cortex which lead me to believe Wily was your arch-nemesis. When I heard he tried to control you and you came here I figured it out.

Lennon: Oh well. I better get going now.

Lennon leaves carrying Crash.

Lennon: Strange. Hwang and Mina aren’t here. I wonder what happened.

At this point Quint appears in a blimp with the letter N on it.

Lennon: Quint! What have you done to my friends?

Quint: Not much. I just kidnapped them and I’m holding them hostage in this blimp.

Lennon: Let me guess you stole that off Cortex?

Quint: Indeed I did. Now I’m unstoppable! And you have no Mech Dragon to help you.

Lennon: That was your dragon!

Quint: Whatever! The point is that it defeated me. Therefore you must have taken control of it.

Lennon: Oh shut up with your lousy excuses!

A slash is heard and the blimp begins to fall causing Crash to wake up.

Quint: No! I cannot by defeated so easily!

Hwang and Mina jump of the blimp.

Seung Mina: Well that was easy.

Lennon: Crash. See that guy there. Hit him with a bazooka.

Crash: *nods and pulls out the Wumpa fruits launcher*

Crash fires a shot hitting Quint in the head causing him to fly out of the blimp and into the ocean.

Crash: *starts dancing*

Lennon: Good boy Crash.

Seung Mina: So Lennon. Did you find out where we’re going?

Lennon: Uh huh. Skull Fortress, I’m going to pay Wily a little visit. Crash will lead the way. You two can come along but once we reach the Fortress I’m going on my own.

Hwang: Fine by me.

Seung Mina: Sounds fun let’s go.

Lennon: By the way. How did Quint capture you? After all, it’s Quint.

Hwang: Well it’s a long story.

Lennon: Go on we got a long way to go before we reach Skull Fortress.

Seung Mina: Well, When Hwang told me to come and see I got excited and ran into the forest to find Crash.

Hwang: Then I chased after her and then about 100 savage beasts came out of nowhere and then…

Seung Mina: Hwang! Tell the story properly!

Hwang: Fine. We got caught in a net trap, which was set up by Quint.

Lennon and Crash: *burst out laughing*

Hwang: Hey I could’ve happened to anyone.

Elsewhere on the open road heading nowhere in particular.

Jacob: Hmm… I guess everything turned out all right.

Needlegal: Yeah, And we learnt something to.

Gauntlet: When? We’ve been driving in circles ever since Hard Man started driving.

Jonathan: Heh, heh, heh

Nightmare: I’m getting dizzy.

Titanium91: You're one to talk.

Sean: *throws up*

Nightmare: Well until Hard Man learns how to drive we are… The Mechanical Maniacs!
