Wanted

Prologue

After the events of the Third Robot Rebellion, the eight Robot Masters involved in Wily’s third unsuccessful bid for world domination managed to survive. Gradually, these eight robots regained their mobility, and even more important, their own desires. Without Wily’s influence hanging over them, these Robot Masters went unchecked.

Eventually, they became known as the Mechanical Maniacs.

These eight robots proceeded to skirt the law, stepping on both sides several times. During their years, some of the Maniacs “retired”, giving up their nameplate to new faces willing to use the power of a Robot Master for their own machinations, all under the watchful eye of the original leader, Shadowman, also known today as “Gauntlet”.

After years of successfully evading the law while playing the part of vigilantes, the Mechs joined the newly formed Robot Police Force in return for amnesty and a multitude of benefits. While they may not have quite adjusted to their new lives as lawmen and women, the current generation of Mechanical Maniacs have begun to make a positive impact on the City of Megapolis .

The current Mechanical Maniacs are:

Gauntlet, known interchangeable as Shadowman. He is the sole surviving original Robot Master, and is thus the most experienced. He has assumed command of the team, and has led the Maniacs on multiple adventures with his shinobi skills finding constant use. An observant, analytical personality, Gauntlet has a sharp mind to match his sharp blade.

NeedleGal is Gauntlet’s sister, though how so is often lost on people. She is normally docile and reserved, much like her brother, but her quick temper and sudden changes in mood have landed her the nickname “Psycho” amongst her fellow Maniacs. With her tough armor and machine gun-like Needle Cannons, she is a force to be reckoned with while on duty.

Hadrian Howell is the mind currently occupying the behemoth body of Hardman. Known for his massive girth and nearly invincible armor, Hardman is the enforcer of the Mechanical Maniacs. Behind his brutal strength lies a cunning mind, which helps him run a somewhat seedy bar in a bad neighborhood of town when he’s not on duty. He is fiercely loyal to Gauntlet, his “boss”, to a fault, and would follow him to Hell and back.

A man known as Raijin is the current Snakeman, the resident sniper on the team. Cold, quiet, and scientifically inclined, Snakeman has become a master sniper in a short amount of time. Using his Search Snakes, he is capable of tracking down multiple targets at once, and rarely loses sight of his goal. Like Hardman, Raijin is very loyal to Gauntlet, who in return entrusts the team to in an unofficial manner whenever he is not around.

SparkChan is often called by the name “Classi”, as in “ Classi Cal ”, and is a staunch pacifist. Once said to love everyone who comes in her life one way or the other, Classi is a warm soul who is looked upon as the team’s “mother”. Using her electrical powers in a variety of ways, from repairs to forming defensive shields, Classi is somewhat uneasy in a crime scene, though her loyalty to her friends prevents her from refusing to help.

Geminiman, known to his teammates by his human name Lennon, is Gauntlet’s rival for leadership of the team.  Once known as a chivalrous soul, in recent months Lennon has become something of a loose cannon, constantly challenging and criticizing Shadowman’s leadership. He has a vested love interest in SparkChan, who has thus far resisted his charms, driving him further into frustration.

Geminiman’s best friend, Topman, is the team’s “high speed pursuit artist”. This Spinning Demon is easily the fastest member on the team thanks to his quick-rolling feet, and also possesses the fastest wisecracks on the team. Famous for correcting glaring, or even minor, errors in grammar, SD is quite the fun lover and an amazing combatant full of surprises.

Finally, we have Kenta Eigen, the latest Magnetman, and newest face on the Maniacs. His presence on the team is something of an oddity due the nature of his selection. Unfriendly and something of a violence enthusiast, this Japanese native has strangely enough become friends with SparkChan, inciting jealously within Geminiman. Kenta also happens to be the half brother of another Robot Master, Rich “Bombman” Kassidy, though the two seem to hate each other. Magnetman Eigen’s control over his own power is dubious at best, but he has shown glimpses of near-limitless ability.
