Dr. Wily

There are some pics I drew and scanned over a year and a half ago, and since then they've just been sitting on my desktop waiting to be coloured. I've been putting them aside for so long as I felt the Annihilation pics were more overdue, and before that I felt like I had to finish the AXE writing before I could even think of artwork, and I guess before that I was busy graduating from University. Damn you time, stop flying!

This piece is a part of a Mechanical Maniacs project that presumably we're still working on, just very gradually.

All I had to do was draw Wily, but I wanted to take it a step further and draw the Skull Capsule chair I always envisioned him with. See, in the Mechs' epilogues, the sprite representing Wily is always that of his MM7 capsule, kinda giving the impression he rides that thing constantly, even when just lounging around the castle or waiting in line at Burger King. Since he must be pretty comfortable in it, I began imagining it more like a hoverchair with all sorts of built-in amenities. I know if I were a mechanically inclined mad scientist, that's the first thing I'd put my genius to work on. Walking is for chumps that can't build hoverchairs.

So the design of his ride is basically the MM7 Wily Capsule but more "reclined". Inspired quite a bit by Professor X's hoverchair.
