Boss Guide

Hi. This is Forte EXE here. AFter much toiling, research, and battling, I have come up with this guide. This will tell you how to defeat me, my fellow team mates, and the Life Virus. I have included statistics and an in-battle strategy. May this serve you well.

Guts Man EXE: Strong Country Guy "YEEEHAW!!!"
Health Levels: 200, 400, 600
Speed: Medium
Movement Range: All Enemy tiles
Attack: Sonic Wave, Row Crack, Guts Punch
Suggested Chips to use: X Panel 1, X Panel 3
Defense: Weak

the first Navi you face in the game. He is also one of the easiest. The important thing is this battle is to not go to the front column and to not stay in the same row as him for a long time. If you do, he will use Guts Punch, his strongest attack, or you will get hit with his Sonic Wave. Since his primary attack travels along the panels, you can stop it by getting rid of the panels.

Fire Man EXE: The Fire Department's Worst Nightmare - *sounds like Hannibal* "Hello Fire Department"
Health Levels: 300, 500
Speed: Medium
Movement Range: All enemy tiles
Attack: Fire Tower, Fire Bomb, Fire Storm(Summon Attack)
Suggested Chips: Anything Aqua
Defensive: Weak

This navi is your first actual challenge in the game. He starts off his battle with some random movement, then he will stop moving and do this little charge up. At this moment, get out of the same row as him. He will use his Fire Storm. It's his strongest attack, and can do lots of damage. After he loses half of his energy, he'll start using Fire Tower and Fire Bomb. Fire Bomb is where Fire Man launches three bombs. The panels they land on will catch fire. Avoid these and just continue using your strong chips. Aqua chips are a plus here.

Number Man EXE: Living Super Computer "YOU STUPID SON OF A CALCULATOR!!!!"
Health Levels: 500, 700
Speed: none
Movement Range: Confined to middle row, back column
Attack: Number Bombs, Time Bomb, Dice Toss(Summon Attack)
Suggested Chips: None
Defensive:Very Weak

Your third challenge is probably the easiest guy in the game. Most of the time in this battle should be spent on the right column, middle row. He starts off the battle using Number Bombs. This attack basically just sends slow moving projectiles forward, each with a number. That number is how many hits it takes to destroy it. Just destroy the one with the smallest number, and save your chips for Number Man. After he loses 50% of his energy, he'll start alternating turns between the Time Bomb and the Dice Toss. Just destroy them, then continue to shoot at him with your chips. And remember, he's fragile, so you can cancel his attacks incredibly easily.

Stone Man EXE: Hard As A Rock "*Singing* I WILL I WILL ROCK YOU!!!!
Health Levels: 600, 800
Speed: None
Movement Range: Confined to middle row, back column
Attack: Rock Cube, Stone Drop(Summon Attack), Stone Laser
Suggested Chips: Fire Man, Hammer, Steal
Defensive: Strong

The fourth man faced looks like he's made of stone. You should spend this battle in the middle row, right column.Stone Man will start the battle by making a Rock Cube. you should just not worry about it, unless it's blocking the way to Stone Man. If it does, use Hammer, or Steal. Then keep keep blasting him. Then he'll start using Stone Drop. Shadows will appear where the stones will land. If a shadow appears where you are standing, MOVE!!!! When he loses half of his energy, his arm/pillar thingines will sink into the ground. They randomly come above ground, then fire the Stone Laser. It does alot of damage, but incredibly easy to dodge. You should only worry about it if it appears between you and Stone Man.

Woodman EXE: Nature's Power " I Like Wood" ^_^
Health Levels: 500, 700
Speed: Medium. Moves by hopping
Movement Range: All Enemy tiles.
Attack: Wood Skewer, Wood Tower, Apple Tree
Suggested Chips: Anything Fire
Defensive: Very Strong

This navi can be quite a problem. He starts off the battle by hopping around. When he lands, spiked logs will come from the ground (this is the Wood Skewer). After 3 Wood Skewers, he'll do one really high jump, land, then put his fists on the ground. Then 3 sets of Wood Skewers will come from the ground consecutively. After that, he will do one of two things. He will either use Wood Tower, or he will make a tree grow. From this tree comes an apple, which he can eat to restore a bunch of energy. SO DESTROY THE TREE ASAP!!!!!!!!! After that, the pattern repeats. And remember, his element is wood, so fire attacks are a must here.

Ice Man EXE: Freaky Blue Eskimo "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!"
Health Levels: 500, 700
Speed: Medium
Movement Range: All Enemy Tiles
Attack: Ice Cube, Ice Bomb, Kick
Suggested Chips: Anything Electric
Defensive: Medium

This guy is quite annoying. He starts off the battle by making three Ice Cube's in the right most column on your side, blocking most of your attacks. You can stop this by either getting in the way and getting hit with the Ice Cube's, or stun him with a strong enough attack. The latter is the better choice. After that, he'll throw the Ice Bomb. it's area of range is exactly like a Cross Bomb's range, and if you get hit, you'll get frozen. Not nice. Just keep blasting him with electric attacks and he'll fall eventually.

Skull Man EXE: The Living Skeleton "Gimme Bone"
Health Levels: 600, 800
Speed: Slow
Movement Range: All enemy tiles
Attack: Skull Fire, Arm Detach, Skull Crush(Summon Attack)
Suggested Chips: None
Defensive: Medium

3 words: THIS GUY HURTS!!!!! Despite his flimsy look, his attacks are quite strong. He'll start the battle with the Skull Fire, which is just a forward moving fireball. After doing that a few times, he'll detach his arms and they'll fly around in your area, while he continues using the Skull FIre. This is the time you use a strong attack to stun him, thereby cancelling the attack. Should you let the attack continue, he'll use his strongest attack, the Skull Crush. Here, his head will detach from his body and go up and off the screen. when this happens, MOVE!!!!!!! The Bone Head WILL hurt if you get hit with it. after he does that, he'll go back to his regular attack pattern. Bring strong chips. You shall need them.

Color Man EXE: Trickster of The Trade "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!"
Health Levels: 600, 800
Speed: Color Man and Drones: Medium
Movement Range: Color Man: Rightmost Column, sliding top to bottom, Blue Doll: Middle Enemy Column, sliding top to bottom, Red Doll: Leftmost Enemy Column, Sliding top to bottom
Attack: Blue Doll: Aqua Tower. Red Doll: Fire Tower, Color Man: Ball Bounce
Suggested Chips: Dyna Wave
Defensive: Medium

The hard part about this navi is that it's not one against one: it's one against three. And the dolls can't be hurt, so they act like shields. The battle starts with all three enemies sliding up and down. When a doll lines up with you, it'll attack you with it's attack. And since each one has a different element, only the Aqua Armor will keep you protected from both of them. A good attack to use here would be Dyna Wave, since it won't stop if it hits a Doll. Every so often, Color Man will stop moving, prop himself on his legs, and the ball he rolls on will start bouncing around in your area, like a bubbler or heater would, and the dolls STILL attack you, so be careful. If you hit Color Man with a strong attack, this attack will be cancelled and the ball will disapear.

Shark Man EXE: Shark on Steroids "Move over, Jaws"
Health levels: 700, 900
Speed: Medium
Movement Range:3 fins, each in a seperate column, sliding up and down.
Attack: Fin Charge, Aqua Tower
Suggested Chips: Anything electric, Skull Man
Defensive: Very Strong

THIS GUY IS VERY HARD!!!!!! Even to this day, where I have beaten the game, I still lose to this guy sometimes. Anyway, this battle is alot like a game of Whack-A-Mole. Three fins will be on the battle field. When you line up with one of them, it'll dash(swim?) forward at you VERY quickly. Avoid this as best you can. If you hit the right fin, it'll pop up, revealing Shark Man. When this happens, blast away. Shark Man will then use Aqua Tower when he's up. Then all three fins will dive down and come back up, hiding Shark Man again. Remember, he's aqua, so electric is a must.

Elec Man EXE: Living Powerhouse. "SHOCKING!!!"
Health Levels: 600, 700
Speed: Medium
Movement Range: All enemy tiles
Attack: Electric Trap, Thunder(Summon Attack), ELectric Trap Cure, Thunder CUre
Suggested Chips: Anything Wood
Defensive: Medium

You fight this guy twice. The first time, whenever you get him down to 520, he'll cure(THunder CUre) himself by electricuting himself. But after some stuff and possible Brain Damage, he loses that ability and the real battle begins. Elec Man moves around a bit first, then he'll use one of his two attacks. The thunder is where thunder comes down from the air and tries to hit you. WHen he uses this, keep moving, because this can do alot. Then electric trap is where some generator type thing-a-majijs appear on the battle field and electricity appears between then at a set pattern. Just blast a generator and all three will blow up. Sometimes after he loses half, he may set up two generators in his area that'll electicute himself and cure him. Hit him with a strong attack and this won't happen. And remember, he's ELectric, so Wood attacks, especially Wood Man, are a must here.

Proto Man EXE: Blues and Zero combined "It should be Zero EXE"
Health Levels: 500, 700
Speed: Medium
Movement Range: All Tiles (Yours and Enemy)
Attack: Proto Guard, Hero Sword, Wide Sword(summon attack), Steal
Suggested Chips: Anything Strong, Summons
Defensive: Weak

This is one of the longer battles. Not because it's hard, but because of Proto Man's shield. It'll block any attack, and he keeps it up most of the time. Only when he's about to attack does he let it down. The times to hit him are when he's directly in front of you(as in next column over) or when he's charging up. When one of those times happens, hit him with a strong chip. Then repeat until he's dead. And don't try Steal, because he'll just use steal and regain him lost land. Try hitting him with summons during the time when he'd normally raise his shield, 'cause he can't block when time is stopped!

Bomb Man EXE: Demolitinist Extreme "BA-BOOM!!!!!!!"
Health Levels: 800, 1000
Speed: slow
Movement Range: All Enemy tiles
Attack: Soccer Bomb(Summon Attack), Mine (varying levels depending on when you fight him)
Suggested Chips: Anything Fire
Defensive: Medium

This Navi's attacks are a bit weird. He starts the battle by kicking a bomb into your area. It'll explode about three seconds later. The explosion will go up, down, left, and right from ground zero. So to avoid the bomb's explosion, stay diagonal to it. After that, three bombs will appear in his area, and he'll stand in the back row. This is a chance to do something cool. If you use a fire attack on the bombs, they will explode in HIS area. If the explosion hits Bomb man, it'll do alot of damage. Should the bombs not be destroyed, he'll eventually kick them into your area, then make three more bombs appear and repeat the attack all over again. When he gets down to half health, he'll lay a mine in your area. It's nothing too big to worry about.

Magic Man: Magician Extraordinare "Hey, Rocky! Watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat!
Health Levels: 700, 900
Speed: Magic Man: None, Summoned Enemies: Varies
Movement Range: Magic Man: Confined to middle row, right column, Summoned Enemies: Varies
Attack: Magic Fire(Summon Attack), Summon
Suggested Chips: All Enemy Attacks
Defensive: Very Strong

THIS GUY IS HARD!!!!!!!!! He starts off the battle by launching a Magic Fire at you(very similiar to Skull Man's Skull Fire) After 1 or 2 fire's, he'll disapear for a moment, then reappear, but with two regular enemies in tow. The regular enemies will appear in the upper left and lower right corners of the enemy area. The possible enemies that could appear are as follows: Red Metools, Water Aura Viruses, Twister Blowers(Black), Aqua Sword Knights, White Ghosts and Big Bombers. It is suggested you use all enemy attacks here to quickly delete the regular enemies, especially the Aqua Sword Knights. They can use Steal, and make life very hard for you.

Life Virus: 4 Elements United ">_
Health Level: Life Virus:1000, Mini Life Virus': About 100
Speed: Life Virus: none. Mini Life Virus': medium
Movement Range: Life Virus: Confined to middle row, middle column. Mine Life Virus: Left most Enemy column
Attack: Life Virus: Life Aura, Dream Beam, Viral Sword, Meteor Rain. Mini Life Viruses: Blue: Aqua Tower, Green: Wood Tower, Red: Candle Fire, Yellow: Thunderball
Suggested Chips: THE BEST YOU GOT!!!!!
Defensive: Very Strong

THE FINAL BOSS!!!! Anyway, most of the times, this guy has a shield around him, and it negates all attacks under 100. But Don't worry, he lets it down to attack. While the shield is up, he'll be charging up. During this time, take out the Mini Life Virus' with your regular blaster. After the Life Virus, he'll let down his shield. This is the time to let all of your chip fury out on him. After he let's down the shield, he'll use one of three attacks. The Dream Beam is a simple straight forward beam, but does lots of damage. To avoid it, get out of the middle row. The Viral Sword is like a mix between Wide Sword and Long Sword. To avoid it, go to the back column. The Meteor Rain is where a big rock falls from the top of the screen, then a Gaia like wave goes towards you. To avoid it, use the walkthrough trick. After he does his attack, he'll put the shield bck up and start charging again. Now you repeat the whole process again until he's dead.

Well, that's everyone.......everyone you HAVE to fight anyway. To those who fulfill the requirements may meet three challenges. Only those worthy may find them. Good Luck, Brave Warriors. And don't get your @$$ beat.

Pharoah Man EXE: Pharoah King of Egypt: Challenge of the Strong "All Hail Me"
Health levels: 800, 1000
Speed: Medium
Movement Range: Slides along the back column
Attack: Pharoah Man: Pharoah Trap, Coffin Drop, Steal. Coffins: Triple Ratton, Stone Throw, Coffin Laser(Summon Attack). Pharoah Trap Traps: Double Snakeegg 3, Anubis.
Suggested Chips: Long Range Attacks
Defensive: Very Strong

Only those with a level of 70 or higher may meet up with Pharoah Man. He starts the battle by dropping a coffin into the leftmost enemy column. Out of that column will come either Triple Ratton(Three Rattons come out of the coffin(they don't turn), Stone Throw(A Rock cube is fired forward) or coffin laser(a green laser that takes up the whole row). While this is going on, Pharoah Man will set the Pharoah Trap. The trap is a switch that takes up a panel. DO NOT STEP ON IT! If you do, the Anubis will appear(drains your life) or three Eggsnake 3s will appear(the fire kind). If either happens, shoot them. And Steal is worthless, as Pharoah Man will just reclaim his lost land.

Shadow Man EXE: Secretive Ninja: Challenge of the Collector "Now I....am a Secret"
Health Levels: 800, 1000
Speed: Quick
Movement Range: All Enemy Tiles
Attack: Shadow Blade(Summon Attack), Ninja Split, Ninja Bomb
Suggested Chips: All Enemy Attacks, Pop Up
Defensive: Medium

Only those with at least 140 chips may meet up with Shadow Man. The battle immediately starts out with Shadow Man disapearing in a puff of smoke, but then reappearing at the top of the screen. Here, he'll throw three Shadow Blades. To dodge them, run. Move you F***ing @$$ and run. After that, he'll go back to the tile he was in at normal height. Now is the time to attack him. Hit him with a strong chip. Next, one of three things can happen. He could use the Shadow Blade again, use the NInja Split again, or use the Ninja Bomb. The Ninja Split is where two fake Shadow Men appear. It's usually used for confusion. Shooting the fakes will make them disapear. The Ninja Bomb is a rolling explosion, taking up the row that Shadow Man is in. The Ninja Bomb can become alot more serious if the fake Shadow Men are there, because they too can use the Ninja Bomb, making it an undodgeable attack. Though Pop Up can fix this problem.

Forte EXE: Cloaked Navi of Evil: Challenge of the True Hero "I crave a worthy opponent"
Health Level:1000, Life Aura damage threshold of 100
Speed: quick
Movement Range: All Enemy Tiles
Attack: Bass Shot, Bass Spread 1, Bass Spread 2
Suggested Chips:THE ABSOLUTE BEST YOU GOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Defensive: Medium

Only those that hold possession of 174 chips may meet Bass. And rightfully so! This guy is a complete bad ass!!!
He starts off with a Life Aura shield on, so attacks won't do much. Bass lowers the Aura for his charged shot attacks. He'll move around quickly and randomly, then line up with you and fire a Bass Shot, which is a basic quick shot forward. After a bit of that, he stops in the back row to do a charged attack.
The Bass Spread 1 is a very good(or bad)attack. Random sparks will appear all over the battle field. Avoiding it is all luck. The Bass Spread 2, on the other hand, isn't as hard to dodge, but can hit you more times. It does something like Wood Man does. The squares that'll be hit will flash for a moment. Then, if your standing in one of the squares, you'll get hit. His last attack is the sweeper. This is a trail of bullets that he shoots accross all the panels in a sweeping pattern, much like the sensor of the Lockon satellite, except column by column instead of row by row. This attack is easy to dodge if you master the pattern, but it sweeps several times, so you gotta keep on your toes.
His Bass Shot does 100 damage if you're armoured, and each of his charged shots do 150. The problem is all of his charged shots can hit you multiple times in one turn, so you have to be careful. The best strategy is to have a strong chip ready to stun him right before he does a charged attack. His low defense is his weakness.
