THE PLAYABLE CHARACTERS

Player 1: Cut-Chan
Real Name: Britt Roth
First Appearance: Megaman 1 (1987), Online Community:

Brief History: See S6 Profile

Power:
Speed:
Recover:

In the Game: Oddly enough Britt's armor is that of the classic Cutman, rather than her girlish outfit. But that's fine, as her speed is still included. She's the fastest sixlet. She's best used on those slower and vulnerable opponents, although her power is pretty bad. Though experienced Britt players can usually score hit after hit before the enemy can counter attack. Britt's punches and kicks are lightning fast, but very weak. She has average recover time, so that's also a good measure to have. The key is, don't rely on Britt's strength, but use her speed to your advantage.

Normal Attack: Britt's normal move is her Rolling Cutter move. It's not too strong, but it can get the job done. She'll release a blade into an enemy and it'll slice through, then return and hit the enemy on the way back. It can hit one enemy twice if timed correctly. It can destroy a weak foe in one hit. Remember that you'll sacrifice a bit of your "Power Orbs" when using this attack.

Super Attack: Britt's Super Attack is actually pretty strong and can destroy any enemies that are within her swiping distance. Although her range is limited it can prove useful against an onslaught of enemies that are in close distance. She'll slash blades at a rapid pace, thrashing anything close to her. And it all happens so fast that nobody will have time to counter it.

Player 2: Gutsman
Real Name: Erik Sergi
First Appearance: Megaman 1 (1987), Online Community:

Brief History: See S6 Profile

Power:
Speed:
Recover:

In the Game: Gutsman is a force to be reckoned with. His strength and power are off the scale. He can usually land one hit KO's if he can connect. Unfortunately where his strength is number one, his speed is number zero. The Big guy cannot move very fast, and that can hinder him in some situations. But like Cut-Chan, experienced Gutsman players can usually make the best out of any situation, and Gutsman can prove to be one of the most vital characters to use, if you know how. It's usually suggested not to use Erik until you get more experienced with the game.

Normal Attack: Gutsman's normal attack usually consists of a well timed thrown boulder. Players can use the joy stick to aim the boulder. It's tricky though as if you mess up, you'll miss the target completely. If you connect you might be able to smash any other enemy within close proximity.

Super Attack: Erik's Super Attack usually leaves the entire screen in dust. So whomever is on the screen at the time of the attack (exemption of your fellow Sixlets) will probably be smashed to smithereens. Gutsman will send his fists into the ground causing a massive earthquake. Nothing is left standing after this attack.

Player 3: Iceman
Real Name: Gary Martin
First Appearance: Megaman 1 (1987), Online Community: 1993

Brief History: See S6 Profile

Power:
Speed:
Recover:

In the Game: Iceman is perfect for beginners to the game. All his stats are perfectly average. He has pretty decent speed, sufficient power, and good recovery time. So he's the right man for the new comer. Since Iceman really has no weaknesses, he also has no real strengths either. But that makes him a bit more unique than the others, who excel in one category, but bomb in the other. So Iceman's right there in the middle of the pack.

Normal Attack: Iceman's normal attack is a simple straight forward Ice Slasher. The Ice Slasher will instantly freeze one enemy for a short period of time. But usually during this time, you can smash the enemy into bits before he can break out. Traps in some levels can also be frozen. Like those annoying electric traps. Although you can't destroy them, you can temporarly freeze them, so you can get by without being scarred.

Super Attack: Similar to the Ice Slasher, Iceman can instantly freeze all enemies on the screen. Unlike the Ice Slasher though, once frozen the enemies are instantly destroyed. Iceman waves his hand and all enemies go 'kaboom'. It's a handy trick to use on a boss, it can do a fair amount of damage.

Player 4: Bombman
Real Name: Rich Kassidy
First Appearance: Megaman 1 (1987), Online Community: 2004

Brief History: See S6 Profile

Power:
Speed:
Recover:

In the Game: Bombman indeed has power on his side. He maybe small, but he packs a punch. His punches are stronger than everyone else's (exemption of Erik), but his speed is minimal. He takes a bit longer to connect punches to his enemies, but when he does, it usually hurts. His average recover time is also handy on some of those annoying levels. Bombman is good for those who want more than average power, and don't mind coughing up a little on speed.

Normal Attack: Bombman's normal attack is a bit risky. He lays bombs on the ground. He can also toss them a few feet ahead of him with the joy stick. You can set the timer to any setting you choose, so if an enemy approaches a bomb, set it off right away! If you don't set it off within a time limit, it'll blow up on its own. It's tricky to use the move, but the power is devastating when it hits!

Super Attack: One of the most interesting Super Moves in the game. Bombman literally self-destructs and takes down everything on the screen with him. But hah! It's a trick. After the screen has been eliminated of enemies, Bombman comes back! Totally unscarred! Talk about talent there folks! His Super Move can wipe out the whole screen, so it's quite useful on enemy packed areas.

Player 5: Fireman
Real Name: Ben Ronning
First Appearance: Megaman 1 (1987), Online Community:

Brief History: See S6 Profile

Power:
Speed:
Recover:

In the Game: Fireman sacrifices power for really good Recovery time. His is the best of the Sixlets. Ben can take a lickin' and keep on tickin'. If he gets smacked, he won't hesitate to fight back right away. And that's pretty useful against major bosses. Fireman's speed is also average, so he can keep up with the rest of them. Fireman is a wise choice for beginners too, because he can cause extra damage to enemies by burning them, which kind of makes up for the low power rating. So Fireman might possibly be the best character to use!

Normal Attack: Ben's shoots out a flame thrower for his normal attack. The range is limited, but all enemies who are hit by the attack are instantly burned if they aren't destroyed. Eventually the burning will wipe them out in the end. But they can still fight back. Fireman's normal attack is pretty weak, but it does the job at a later time when the burning finally kills its target.

Super Attack: With the lack of power for his normal attack, Fireman's super attack is actually very powerful. It can strike every enemy on the field and blaze the living horde out of them. Most enemies are left in ashes after the Fire Storm has let up. This move is especially effective against plant-like robots.

Player 6: Elecman
Real Name: Geoff Tarbox
First Appearance: Megaman 1 (1987), Online Community:

Brief History: See S6 Profile

Power:
Speed:
Recovery:

In the Game: Elecman is known for his fair amount of power, and his pretty decent speed. He's the 2nd fastest character, and his strength is an added plus. His major downfall however is his really crappy Recover state. Once he gets thwacked, he'll take a few extra precious seconds to get back on his feet. And that could set him up for a beating. Though like mentioned above, experienced Leon players can get the best out of Elecman, even with his nasty fault. Elecman is best used for hit and run tactics, as if a enemy hits him, he could be in trouble.

Normal Attack: Elecman's normal attack can only be executed while facing an enemy. He'll shock the opponent and temporarily stun him. It works similar to Iceman's Freeze Ray, only Elecman has to be right up close to the intended target. While the enemy is stunned, he's vulnerable to attack, so you can destroy him without fear of retaliation.

Super Attack: Where Bombman has the most interesting Super Attack, Elecman's is a crowd pleaser. He'll summon enough electric power to thunderbolt every enemy on the screen and reduce them to ashes. The whole screen lights up with the attack, so it makes an interesting light show on its own. Sometimes if luck will have it, the lighting will stun those who are left after the attack (which usually isn't the case). It stuns bosses for short periods of time as well!

And that is our heroes in a nut shell. So...which one would you choose?
