CHAPTER 8

Gary had fallen with a metallic thud as he landed outside the old warehouse. He patted his bottom as he slowly rose to his feet in battle scared armor. "Damn...looks like some of those lasers did hit home." He said brushing off some burnt marks on his icy blue armor.

Iceman looked to the small old warehouse. "Unbelievable on how such a small building could hold so much chaos." He whispered to himself. Gary was about to teleport off when he noticed that he used up a lot of energy during the Pulzar Chase. He would have to wait a good Ten minutes before the teleportation unit could fill up with energy.

"Damn it! The guys need to know this now!" He grunted angrily. "Could things get any worse!" He yelled out again.

The top of the warehouse blew open as a blackened figure arose from the ashes. Pulzar again had spotted Iceman from outside the structure. It roared loudly with pincers clanging open and shut.

"I really gotta stop saying that..." Gary pulled his head down in pity.

Pulzar landed loudly as he shrieked and roared at Iceman shaking the Earth below. Gary knew that without the Hover Board, he couldn't escape as easily. And without his teleport ability full, he'd have to fight it out until then.

"Alright...time to put on the stunts." He ushered to Pulzar with finger pointing 'Just bring it'.

Pulzar roared and approached Iceman, hovering over the little 3 foot Eskimo with all his might. Peering at him in an endless shadow. Iceman didn't look too amused. It seemed that during the day light, Pulzar's eyes didn't glow so bright. It was great! Iceman couldn't get petrified by the beast now that the dull sunlight peering through the dense clouds made Pulzar less scary.

Pulzar's skin was also not as dark. But a bright purplish color shined from the pale sunlight's beams. Pulzar's glowing horn looked more threatening actually as it pulsated with electromagnetic energy.

Pulzar lifted up his giant claw and came booming down on Iceman. It hit the ground hard causing sand and dirt to rise up quickly. It rendered Pulzar's site of the little blue Eskimo and he got his Claw temporary stuck into the ground. Pulzar figured he missed the pest since he had hit solid, soft ground.

After the dust had settled, Pulzar lifted his claw from the ground and looked around for Iceman. The little pest had vanished quickly. Pulzar looked down to his claw and saw in writing in magic marker.

"I'm a big dufus." it stated clearly.

Pulzar let out a nasty annoyed roar as he tried to rub off the magic marker writing. To no avail. Iceman made it stick nicely.

"Over here you ugly insect!" Iceman blurted out loudly sticking his tongue out at the beast. Pulzar using lightning reflexes shout out a large blast from his mouth and aimed correctly right at Iceman.

A large explosion occurred as the building piled down to ash. Iceman right on the roof of the building. The entire building had collapsed with Iceman in it. Pulzar knew that was the end of Iceman.

Or was it. Iceman's right hand started to rise out from the ashes. With anticipating music coming from the background. Pulzar thought that it was impossible for something to rise out of something so heavy. So secure. So burnt.

Though the hand fell onto the ashes, with music stopping instantly. It looked like Iceman ran out of energy. Pulzar turned slightly away when his eye caught something else.

Iceman's left hand now came out from the ashes with the same music following. Pulzar's eyes again got big. Nothing could have survived that. Nothing! Pulzar couldn't believe his eyes!

Iceman's left hand then fell onto the ashes. Music stopped once again. Pulzar found his eyes rolling around in circles in annoyance. Alright...that's that.

Iceman's left foot then appeared from the ashes with the classic 'Jason Vorhees: I keep coming back' music playing in the background. Pulzar at this point couldn't take it anymore and fired yet another blast into the ashes. Another large explosion was heard as Iceman's foot fell onto the ashes and seemed to have finally been put out.

Pulzar sighed in relief as the pile of ashes smoked and let out fumes and nasty smells from the now burnt pile of ashes.

Ten seconds later however, Iceman's right food appeared and the music again came back on. Though it was then that the antics had stopped. Pulzar enraged had used an EMP kind of attack which completely paralyzed Iceman in place. The little Eskimo couldn't feel his joints as he was grabbed from the smoldering mold and tossed up to a wall. Pulzar again loomed over Iceman as if he was going to zap him of all his precious energy.

Then a red optical blast had shot at Pulzar from a distance. It knocked him back a ways and it released the EMP ray that seemed to have been used on other robots back at the meteorite site. Pulzar reared back in pain as he looked to see who his attacker was.

Gary was eye struck.

It was Super Chaos who was the savior. The yellow giant made is way down to the battle field and approached the looming Pulzar who was equal in size compared to the large yellow blob creature.

"Go! Find your friends!" Super Chaos spoke off suddenly. "I'll hold The Creature at bay! Go! Now!" He shouted back at Iceman who knew that he needed to get to his team mates.

Gary didn't know whether he was dreaming, hallucinating, or what. But he took his advice and began to run away from the fighting. It seemed Super Chaos didn't want too rule on a dying planet. And that even he feared the effects of Red's onslaught. And there. The Sinister Six's main enemy and bad guy. Helping.

Super Chaos and Pulzar were locked in a grudge match. Both trying to over come ones strengths. Where Pulzar seemed to be the stronger opponent, Super Chaos was very well holding his own. Roaring and growling issued as both opponents continued trying to overcome one another.

Iceman got once last glance as he ran from the battle. He owed Super Chaos one. He saved his life. Though he had to get to his team fast. The Army of Darkness is soon about to be unleashed and its evil will finish off the last of the planet.

"Why didn't the teleportation chip work!" He mouthed off. "Why did I use up so much energy!" He cursed to himself.

********************************************************

The Sinister Six looked fluttered after looking endlessly for any signs of the large beetle-like creature. No weird or odd abnormalities stood in place. All seemed to be normal, with exemption of the entire planet losing life and sunshine. Scott being bored out of his limited mind had came out of a closed down Grocery Store and bought ingredients for a new Cupcake Recipe he had wanted to try.

"Scott, do you really need all that?" Tim broke off in annoyance. The orange and black clad was holding way to much food.

"Bah, don't pay any attention to him." IRA spoke off. "Let the man eat." He said chugging down some Big Red.

"And I thought you weren't going to drink anymore. That the scene at the bar made you think." Tim said looking to the fire struck alcoholic.

Just then a puff of smoke appeared and the Six turned quickly expecting a large shadow of an enormous beetle to shun over them. They quickly got battle armor ready to face the new form that just emerged from the smoke which it appeared from.

"Oh, hey Gauntlet." Tim spoke off turning back to looking for Pulzar. The others did so as well looking for any shred of evidence.

"Oh hey Gauntlet....?" The Ninja-clad spoke off in disappointment to the Six's welcome party. "Boy, talk about being happy to see yer old friend." Gauntlet stood there with arms crossed. He couldn't believe that they didn't respond to his long extended absence.

"Sorry there G, it's just we figured that if we stopped Pulzar's reign of terror that..." It was then that Tim was interrupted by a force running towards them. It sounded remorse and terrifying.

"It's Pulzar!" Jason blurted out and again the Five got battle armored ready. This time they were prepared for the beast. No sneaking up on them now. It was battle time, and Pulzar was going down.

A figure emerged from the bushes and Tim was about ready to attack when Gauntlet had stopped him head on.

"What are you doing!?" Tim yelled out in frustration at the Ninja statue which spawned out in front of the six.

"Saving you from dismantling Gary." He spoke in a calm voice with left eye closed, and hand forming the Ninja-style stance as always.

Again the Six where fooled upon a false alarm as the Parka bearing clad came into view. "Hey guys, oh. Gauntlet's here." Gary said looking slightly annoyed. He still was angry at the shadow blade throwing robot from the discussion they had earlier.

"Iceman." Shadowman ushered to Gary in a nod.

The other six stared at the two for a few minutes then regained conscience. "Glad you two are here actually." Tim spoke first. "I've got some earth shaking news that'll really make your skin crawl."

"Oh really? What's that?" Gauntlet spoke turning his attention from Iceman to Gutsman.

"Thunderman is really Edward. I donno how, or why, but he just revealed himself to us." Tim spoke suddenly. Jason soon followed. "Yeah, he's locked up at our base now." He finished.

Gary was eye struck and didn't know what to say while Gauntlet remained where he was and didn't have much surprise in his face. Even with the mask on.

"Oh, I already knew that." He spoke with finger in the air. "It was quite obvious really." Gauntlet had finished as he stood there in another Ninja-Stance. The Sinister Six again were speechless. How could this be possible?

"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL US!" Tim mouthed off loudly, startling the other Six.

"You didn't ask." Gauntlet finished lamely dodging a fast fist attack.

Gutsman growled slightly, holding off his anger. He knew Gauntlet was going to respond with that, being the smart alec that he was. The others didn't know what to compute.

Before Any of the other members could continue the conversation a large sound came from not to far off in the distance. A familiar roaring sound to Iceman soon followed. The sound tore through concrete and the ground trembled loudly.

"Oh yeah...I forgot to mention that Pulzar was chasing after me." Gary said with a slight nervous chuckle.

This was it, the opportunity the Sinister Six where waiting for. Pulzar had finally emerged from the darkness and shown during the day light. His ability to freeze his opponents with fear with its eyes would be of no use during the sun light. The Sinister Six had a slight advantage now.

The ground shook more as an enormous shock wave come out from the shadows and struck the seven figures. They flew back roughly to the concrete under them, as the roar continued on.

"Damn...sneaky little thing ain't he?" IRA spoke off rubbing the pain in his rear. The other Six were already at their feet in defense.

"He ain't so little..." Gary said looking over to Gauntlet. "At least now we have old Gauntlet here to help us right?" He said motioning over to the Ninja who still stood calmly and lit.

"Sorry guys, but I'm busy with my own mission at the moment." Gauntlet said as he puffed away in a cast of smoke and dirt.

"DAMNIT GAUNTLET! YOU COWARD!" Tim rose off in anger. He had to admit that the Ninja could have stayed and helped. But something else of far seriousness was going on with him.

It was then Pulzar had emerged and the Beast eyed the Six Robots that stood before him. The reflections of them appearing in its beetle black insect eyes. The Monster then charged immediately at the limbering bodies.

"Watch out!" Tim shouted out as several of the Sinister Six members were jolted backwards by the attack. The beast was fast. The creature however shifted to the right, and prepared to charge again. Only this time the Six were ready with full attacks.

"Fire Storm!" IRA led off. Though the Fire had not pierced the armor of the Insect.

"Rolling Cutter!" Jason soon followed, only to watch the blades deflect off the rock solid armor.

"Hyper Bomb!" Scott threw off. Although it looked like it would hurt the beast, Scott's aim wasn't exactly on the dot as he blew up an old neighboring building near by.

"Scott! Watch what you're doing!" Tim said dodging a Hyper Bomb of his own. Pulzar used this small diversion to his advantage as he ran straight into Gutsman. Gutsman was being plowed over by Pulzar as the Beast began to stomp on the large Mech robot.

"Tim!!" Shouted Andon and the others as they saw in great peril their friend being crushed by Pulzar's enormous weight.

Pulzar was about to drain Tim's energy as its armor stopped all attacks based from behind when Tim lifted the beetle. Pulzar's large body was no match for Gutsman's strength as Tim bolted the Beetle into a large run down building. Destroying it in the process.

"Oops..." Tim said in accident. Though it didn't matter much since the old building was on its last leg anyway.

Pulzar was already on its feet and continuing its attack. Tim couldn't believe that he couldn't damage it.

Andon threw a Thunder Beam at Pulzar, but not to attack it. But as a test. Andon noticed that all attacks based on Pulzar would only give him more energy. Espically elemental attacks. Electricity, Fire, Ice, Wind, Water. It all powered him. Andon got an idea, but was already shot down by Pulzar.

"Andon!" Jason spoke off as he too was rammed into a wall. All the Sinister Six were down.

"He's....too....strong..." Gary blurted off lying in the street. Then he got a vision. The Meteorite incident flashed back into his head. He saw the beast crying out in pain and was suffering. But by what? Could this beast have a weakness? It was then he remembered.

But Pulzar was already upon the defeated Six. The Monster was hovering above IRA as he was about to prepare his final swoop when a blast came from not far off. It was a Thunder Beam. But of a different color. Instead of the blue electric variety it was reddish gold.

Pulzar took the blast head on and reared back in pain. A different roar was heard, but not the usual threatening, fighting stance one. One that actually took damage.

Andon got to his feet and fired off another blast at the beast. It was Andon who was the savior this time. The Blast hit home as Pulzar roared another painful wound. Andon's attacks were working. But how? Earlier his Thunder Beams would feed energy to Pulzar.

"I can reverse the flow of the electrons to make the energy unstable." Andon said covering his wounds. "bad energy." He concluded. Andon continued to attack the large monster without much remorse.

"Andon...you're a pacifist!" Tim said trying to get to his feet.

"The beetle is just a bug. Plus I'm just weakening it." He said so it won't violate his pacifist ideals.

It was brilliant. Andon was feeding Pulzar bad energy. Instead of normal based attacks, Andon had reversed the electrons and effects of the Electric energy and turned it into 'bad medicine". It clearly was taking effect. Though Pulzar was simply rearing back. To defeat it entirely, they'd need a bigger source of power.

"The Power Plant..." Andon spoke as he saw Pulzar was already starting to get some fight back into him. The other Sinister Six lighted up quickly after hearing this. That would be a massive amount of good energy turned bad.

"Let's lead him to the plant now!" Tim shouted out running in the direction. But Pulzar could easily catch them with its speed. How could hey get their without being torn into pieces? The Teleportation Chips were badly depleted due to the battle strain.

A small silent beep went off as Gary's teleport chip whirled off. He hadn't focused all his power into fighting Pulzar during this battle, and Gary got an idea. Gary grabbed hold of Andon and charged into battle with Pulzar.

"Gary! What are you doing!?" Tim yelled off in fear and surprise. Gary carefully dodged a swipe from Pulzar at close range and grabbed hold of one of Pulzar's legs.

"Alright, here we go!" Gary shouted suddenly as he engulfed himself, Andon, and Pulzar in a large blue light. In a matter of seconds the three figures had vanished into a spectrum of blue particles. Tim, Jason, Scott, and IRA sat alone and starred off into the absent sunlight.

"Whoa...where did they go?" Scott said in amazement. He hadn't expected them to disappear so quickly and so sudden. The other three then quickly bolted head right.

"To the Power Plant!" Tim shouted behind him with the other three lingering behind. "We have to try to get there in time to help them!" He concluded as the four shadows pasted off in the distance, leaving the area totally lifeless.

**************************************************

Meanwhile a small yellow clad person was busy at work tinkering with the computer network inside the tech room of Sinister Six H.Q. Needle Gal was still lying motionless on the table she was laid upon.

"Come on...come on...connect me to the server!" Shouted Topman as he typed endlessly on the computer. Obvious lack of sleep and hard bruises appeared upon his eyes and fingers as he anxiously typed on the key pad.

The Computer clicked and beeped trying to keep up with Topman's constant fast reactions and commands. Even with the computer's top notch speed, the orange robot was still ahead of it. "Jesus...whoever thought the top technology was slow." Topman grunted as he continued to press commands.

"Connected." The Computer fed out. Topman sat back in his chair finally relieved. Then again a puff of smoke appeared suddenly and Topman turned to welcome his comrade.

"Did you get in?" Gauntlet appeared and immediately asked his Mechanical friend. Topman quickly nodded as if his voice was also drained from yelling at the computer's slowness speed for over 24 hours. Weariness showed as he got up from the chair. Obvious booty marks were implanted in the soft chair's cousin, and the Orange robot had trouble standing upright.

"Whoa...take it easy Demon..." Gauntlet said helping his friend stand up straight. "Sorry, I was up all night trying to get a connection. Red had really fried her circuits." Topman said in a hoarse voice.

"You sure you want to plug in after all that hard work?" Gauntlet said holding Topman by his side. Topman really looked beat, but the look of determination to save their team mate was fluttering in his eyes like a warrior fighting until the very end.

"Let's go." Topman said quietly and took out his PET device. Gauntlet and Topman being the only members of the Mechanical Maniacs to have VI PET Links, they are able to pixilated themselves into anything digital and become forms of their own. Navis. They had received these powers from joining the Viral Infection Team of the EXE Universe.

Topman and Gauntlet plugged the devices into a small opening near the computer where they had connected to Needle Gal's server and quickly dissipated into digital data.

Moments later they had awoken in a different world. A world inside the computer. The whole place lit up with hundreds of lights and all kinds of strange data surged through and a passed them by on mazes and mazes of networks.

"Now we have to find our way to Needle Gal's main frame and turn it back online." Topman said to Gauntlet who for once was towering over his leader. Topman's VI identity was known as Gutsman.EXE. So for a first time Topman was bigger than his comrade.

Gauntlet however still remained nearly the same. The Shadow Blade on his head, and dark bluish cloth still covered the sneaky ninja. Shadowman.EXE was his name. The two team mates then set off, hoping for the best.

The two robots, now net navis, navigated the unfamiliar terrain. Strange spikes and flowers were everywhere. Gauntlet felt somewhat awkward about invading his sister's mind, but didn't see any way around it. "What do we do" asked Gutsman, clearly at a loss. Look around. There's data all over the place. We gotta collect it all and put it back where it belongs."

********************************************

A bright flash concealed the inside of the abandoned power plant and three figures emerged out of the clear blue. "We're here!" Gary quickly stated as a giant roar caused the inside of the palace to shake violently. "Crubs...forgot about him." Gary finished as a giant claw thwacked into his armored plated body and sent him spinning for the closest wall.

"GARY!" Andon shouted out. He attempted to go to his aide but Pulzar stepped into his path. The Monster seemed totally unaware of its new surroundings. All was on its mind was destroy. It growled nastily as he took another swipe for Andon. The pacifist quickly dodged through the swipes as they pierced the cemented ground under them. Andon sent out several negative bursts of energy at the lumbering beast, but Pulzar seemed to have adapted to them quickly. They needed to send out a burst big, and strong enough to put him down the first time.

Andon was crushed to the ground by the creatures’ enormous pincer. Pulzar loomed over the fallen warrior and was starting to drain his energy. Andon groaned in pain as the creature started glowing. Draining Andon's very life essence. Pulzar roared in glee as he was getting some energy back for a change until a blast disrupted his connection and was forced to draw back.

"There he is!" Yelled out Scott. The robot threw out another bomb and Pulzar barley dodged it. IRA ran into the fray and blazed the beetle with non stop fire action. But Pulzar seemed to just eat it up as the creature shot out a dark blast straight at the heart of the four characters that ran into the plant.

"Watch it all!" Tim said as he shoved a boulder into the path of the dark energy blast. It destroyed the rock, but left the Sinister Six totally unharmed. Gary quickly rose to his feet and ran into the action as well. The monster was extremely powerful. It could take on all six of them at the same time.

It left them with little plan to get Andon into the Plant's energy source. If they didn't stop Pulzar, then the Plant would be vital energy food for the insect monster.

"Darn it! Nothing is working!" Jason shouted as he noticed his blades didn't pierce the Monster's armor. Pulzar moved in for the kill as he grabbed Jason by the chest and began to crunch is insides. "NOOOO!" Jason shouted as he shook to get free from Pulzar's crushing claw.

Gary attempted freezing the beast, but it only broke free, as IRA's fire power never shown the monster any fatigue. Andon tried to get to the Power Plant's controls. So he can turn all the energy to negative strands, but the monster seemed to enjoy blasting him away. Nothing seemed to have worked until....

"Hey...what's wrong with the lights...?" Tim said picking up the giant monster over his head and throwing into debris that it caused earlier. Jason was still attached to the monsters deadly claw. "I don't know...why don't you figure it out after you ply ME FROM ITS GRIP!" Jason ordered.

"Something’s going on with the controls." Andon busted out. He looked around and noticed that Pulzar had lost his control of Jason who quickly crawled away into a corner. He was crushed up pretty bad. Pulzar on the other hand looked slightly nervous. Like it sensed something odd with the Power Plant. The creature looked around as if something was after him.

"Now's our chance! He's distracted!" Andon said as he made for the controls. Tim, IRA, Gary, and Scott quickly surrounded the large insect which was trying to make its get away.

"Whatever you do! Don't let it escape!" Andon shouted as he hacked into the controls. He then saw a Shadow Blade and a Green Cross icons staring him down. "Gauntlet...Spinning Demon? You guys shut down the lights and stuff?"

Inside the Power Plant's main frame. Gauntlet and Topman (who is now Gutsman.EXE) gave a thumbs up as they left the server to employ their mission to revive their sister. They had shut down all the lights, and gave Andon the distraction they had needed.

Pulzar swiped Tim away as he tried to leave the Plant by blowing a hole through the wall. Gary quickly froze it up, and Pulzar turned to try another path.

"He's scared." Tim said as he threw some debris at the beast that seemed to take little notice to the damage it was causing. The Monster stamped and pounded around the Power Plant, causing the entire building to start collapsing. This was a bad sign. A blade flew through the air and sliced off Pulzar's horn. The Monster hadn't seen it coming, and now it couldn't summon the dark energy powers. Pulzar was losing the battle.

"Good one Jaso...." Tim stopped in mid sentence. "JASON!" He ran quickly to his side. Jason's mid section had been completely crushed by Pulzar's claw. He indeed had taken serious damage to his inner circuits. Tim quickly knelt down to his fallen comrade with fear and worry. "You...you're going to be alright..."

Jason smiled and looked up at his friend. Leaking coolant from his mouth and was 'bleeding' from his waist. "I don't think I'm gonna make it Timbo." He said trying to sit up. A tear fell from both their eyes. Jason seemingly wanting to quit the Sinister Six before, felt that he didn't want to now. He didn't want to leave the team in this condition.

"You'll be alright Jason...I know you will." Tim said as he heard a roar from the background. Pulzar had been cut off by IRA, Gary, and Scott. Andon had just finished the controls and now held a large electric generator on his backside. Tim rose to his feet in what seemed like anger and rage.

"YOUUUU!!" He shot out at the beast. Which caused the others to stare. Tim marched towards Pulzar, causing tremors of his own. Andon backed off and witnessed Tim do something that he'd never thought he would do. Instead of taking the generator, Tim grabbed hold of some power lines that fed energy to the generator. Pulzar swiped at him, but Tim simply used his other arm to knock his giant pinching claws away.

"DIE YOU BASTARD!" Tim said as he plunged the large energy wires into Pulzar's mouth. The negative strands flew from the computer into the wires and fed into Pulzar's energy eating body. Pulzar roared in pain like no one had ever expected. Gary, Andon, Scott, and IRA fled backwards has the monster gobbled up the bad energy and reared back causing the entire wall to cave in. Tim simply stood watching the monster with anger and lust.

Pulzar fell onto the yellow grass outside the plant and the monster lay onto its back as the bad energy consumed him. Pulzar's bright purple color soon turned a dull gray and its glowing white eyes started blinking like a light bulb ready to burn out. The roaring started to dim lighter and lighter until its voice died out and the monster layed motionless on the ground. The red-orange bolts of electricity started to flicker off and soon the energy stopped. Like any dead bug, Pulzar laid with its legs up in the air and body wrinkled up into a slight ball. It was dead.

Soon everything went quiet. Even the Plant which had suffered a major beat down, had stopped crumbling and breaking. Andon stood in near half shock. Tim was still standing there. In half silhouette. Breathing hard. Looking straight on. Gary, IRA, and Scott stood back, taking in what they just witnessed with wide open mouths and eyes. Andon didn't know what to say or do as he gently put down the generator.

Then after about 5 minutes, the police arrived and that's how they found them.
