Scenario C
Participants:
Drastic Measures (RPD)
Evil Eight (W)
Location: Nonsteropolis, USA (SA)
Max. Cossack Scrap Value: 2122
SA Infantry: 1226
RPD Units: 1147
Wily Bots: 630
Their mission was clear. They had to free Nonsteropolis from the
Scissor Army’s grasp at all costs, for that particular city was
labeled a threat to the RPD’s security by the robot chief of police,
Crorq. Seeing that Nonsteropolis bordered Monsteropolis, where
the RPD’s central headquarters was located, the SA’s presence in
that area did indeed prove to be a great security risk, as the
Lieutenant Riley, was well aware of.
Riley was still new at this Watcher gig, so he had to wonder why
he himself, out of all the Watchers in the RPD, had to be charged
with overlooking the operations in Nonsteropolis. Who knows, maybe
it was because of all the chatter about the SA in the area being
“incompetent.” But honestly, he had no idea whether to take any
such babble as a joke, or what. But still, he was getting himself
quite nervous over the whole operation.
And then, there was that team of Robot Masters he was assigned
to watch. They were known as the “last resort,” and have risen
to infamy thanks to all the buildings they have accidentally toppled,
one after another, in all their battles. Riley stood, facing the
five robots. He then began to brief them on their mission. “Attention,
Desperate Measures. I’m sure you all know well by now that our
chief, Crorq, has ordered us to…” He stopped mid-sentence. “Is…
something the matter?”
“It’s DRASTIC Measures, sir.” Turboman corrected the Watcher.
“Oh, heh, sorry about that,” Riley apologized nervously before
continuing the briefing. “Crorq has ordered all Robot Master teams
to reclaim a number of key locations that jeopardize our security
from the SA. Your mission will be to secure Nonsteropolis.”
“It’s MONsteropolis, sir.” Cloudman attempted to correct the Watcher.
“No, it’s NONsteropolis,” Riley stated. He then approached a large
monitor on the wall that displayed a map of North America. There,
a big dot representing Monsteropolis could be seen on the east
coast. And, just north of it, and not too far away, was a smaller
dot. He then pointed to that dot. “See? This dot here is Nonsteropolis.
Now you are all to go there, and… well, you know the mission. So,
move out!”
In a flash, the view of headquarters became the view of a city,
one much like that of Monsteropolis… only in ruins. They had heard
that the RPD HQ that had once stood in this city was blown off
the face of the earth, and it was evident by all the surrounding
damage as well. Cloudman turned to face a ruined coffee shop, as
he floated forward. He seemed to be in deep thought as he stared
at the building.
“Damn it, Metabad, this is no time for sightseeing!” An aggravated
Junkman shouted at the floating robot. “We are on a mission!”
“Wait!” Cloudman shouted. “I’ve never been here before, and yet,
I recognize this place…”
“Of course you do.” Springman mumbled. “It’s a Starbucks. They’re
everywhere, in case you haven’t noticed.”
“But there is also a Starbucks in Monsteropolis!” Cloudman spat
back. “And that one had a tree to the right of it. And this one…
it has a tree to the LEFT of it! See what I am getting at?!”
Turboman sighed. “No, now come on!”
Cloudman ignored him. “What I am saying is… this place, Nonsteropolis…
is an upside-down bizarro universe parallel to Monsteropolis! IT’S
ALL SO OBVIOUS NOW!”
Burstgirl then slapped Cloudman across the face. “Now why did you
do that this time?” He whined.
“There’s a Joe behind you.”
“Oh, blame it on a Joe, eh? I clearly saw YOU slapping me.”
Without saying a word, Burstgirl tossed a Danger Wrap behind Cloudman,
trapping the aforementioned Joe. It was then that Cloudman took
notice of the enemy trooper, and flung a Thunder Bolt at the bubble,
destroying the Joe.
“On your guard, everyone!” Turbo shouted. The team prepared for
battle, while Riley observed the scene via monitor from HQ. He
had to wonder what was up with that Cloudman, but, he supposed
it was nothing to worry about… just concentrate on the job, he
thought to himself.
--------------------
The team arrived at
the heart of the fallen city where all they saw was broken glass,
concrete torn apart. It was a city in ruins.
Turboman sat down on a bench and let out a big sigh. He was indeed
worried about the mission, and who could blame him? This was a
rare chance to take over a city the Scissor Army took in the early
stages of the conflict and he was worried that the pressure would
get to him.
Junkman stood with the others and felt bad for Turboman. His actions
before this mission really caused a small divide within the team.
The stress was also getting to him, but there was a mission to
get done.
'OK.' said Junkman. 'From what Riley said, there are only about
1,226 SA units in the area, mostly SA Joes. They've been split
into two groups that hole 613 units each. One of them is in the
Business District and the other is near this location.' He looked
over at Turboman as he got up from his seat. 'You're the leader,
Turbo. How are we going to do this?'
'I'll go ahead and stay around here with Cloudman and wipe out
the threat here. You, BurstGirl and Springman should go ahead and
head to the Business District. It's more likely that you'll find
a good chunk of the SA Joes there. Now... Drastic Measures: Roll
Out!'
With that said, the team split for their destinations. Turboman
just looked at Cloudman and wondered what he has gotten himself
into.
--------------------
Business District
The trio of Junkman, BurstGirl and Springman arrived at the business
district of the city and it looked like a war zone. The bulidings
were torn apart from the Scissor Army's invasion some time ago.
The bodies that were there were strewn across the landscape and
they have decayed over time, causing a massive stench that stayed
in the air.
'God, this place stinks!' exclaimed Junkman. He used his staff
to shove off some debris that stood in his way. Hiding under that
debris, though, were a couple of SA Joes. 'For Elysium!' they shouted
out as the began firing their weapons. Junkman acted almost instinctively
when he started up his Junk Shield. Each shot bounced off the makeshift
shield, but it was a matter of time before it fell apart. Now,
those shots were hitting their target: Junkman's body.
'We have to do something!' shouted out Springman, who bounced around
to avoid each shot. 'I think I have just the idea.' said BurstGirl.
With that said, she ran into action and fire off some of her explosive
bubbles. They distracted the bots long enough for Junkman to gather
some junk into his hands...
'JUNK SHOT: HADOKEN TYPE!'
A large ball of junk was aimed the bots and it hit the target dead
on. The SA Joes were obilterated from the attack. The pieces of
their fallen bodies now became part of Junkman's armor, almost
like a hunting trophy. 'Thanks for the save, BurstGirl. I owe you
one.'
'No problem, Junk. Just trying to do my job.' said BurstGirl. Springman
appeared and mentioned that they should keep on going. Junk and
Burst agreed and they headed off. Little do they know that they
were going into the belly of the Scissor Army beast.
--------------------
Nonsteropolis outskirts
The orders were pretty straightforward for Omniman and Golemman,
the last two remaining members of the so-called Evil Eight. They
were told to go into this city and take all of the SA Joes so they
can be reprogrammed into Wily Joes so he can prepare himself in
case of an attack by the Scissor Army.
'Hmm. This could be too easy Golemman.' said Omniman. Golemman
nodded his head in agreement as the two entered the city and saw
the carnage that happened eariler in the war. 'I don't believe
it.'
Omniman pointed over towards a bench near City Hall, which was
ravaged beyond repair. Then, Golemman did something that shocked
Omniman: He spotted two other robots in the area. 'Well, well...
You did good Golem. It seems like we have a couple of the RPD's
best men in the area. Let's go introduce outselves.'
With that, the two Wily bots walked towards Turboman and Cloudman.
'Oh, great.' said Turboman as he spotted the two in his sight.
'Why would Wily send these bozos after us?'
'Hey, Turbo. Do those bozos have any cake? Cause I want some cake.'
Turboman just sighed to himself and prepared for battle. So did
Cloudman. This came to no surprise for Omniman and he went right
for Turbo while Golemman lunged at Cloudman.

1st National Bank
of Nonsteropolis
While Turboman and Cloudman dealt with the remaining Evil Eight
members, the others arrived at the largest buliding in Nonsteropolis,
the 1st National Bank.
A call came in from their. 'Junkman, can you hear me? It's Lieutenant
Riley.' Riley, the team's watcher, tells them that the former bank
has now become the main base for the SA Joes and there is about
250 of the men located inside the place.
'Sounds like it's time to do some cleaning up.' said Junkman. Springman
and BurstGirl only sighed and shooked their collective heads after
hearing such a corny line from Junkman. But, the moment the trio
came in the doors of the bank, the SA Joes started firing at them.
This forced them to take a defensive position behind some fallen
concrete caused by the Joes when they took over Nonsteropolis eariler
in the war. The Joes kept on firing relentlessly at them, even
when they had the chance to fire a few shots of their own, the
Joes kept going.
It ended up becoming a war of attrition between the two sides.
BurstGirl thought to herself and tried a different tatic. She came
out using her bubbles as a defensive shield of sorts as shot fired
off shots from her arm. But, it seemed that the shots from the
Joes were much more powerful then she thought and they burst the
bubbles from her and then.... It hit her from out of nowhere
The fatal shot hit BurstGirl in the neck just above her armor.
It tore through her Jugular artery like a hot knife through butter.
The blood came spilling out and it shocked both Junkman and Springman.
'No. This can't be... BurstGirl can't be dead, can she?' Junk asked
Spring. He placed two fingers on her neck to try and feel for a
pulse. He got nothing and suddently the battle became a little
more tougher for the remaining two. Then, out of almost nowhere
came an SA Joe, who used his combat knife to sneak up on Springman
and plunged his blade into the back of Springman. Junkman tried
to stop this SA Joe, but it was too late. Just as quickly as BurstGirl
died, so did Springman thanks to stab wound to his back that pierced
his kidneys, which turned into a fatal blow.
Enough was enough for Junkman. The team managed to take out about
75 of the SA Joes before the others died and now it fell on to
his shoulders. His anger would be taken out on who was left of
this force. 'This is for my friends!'
'Junk Shot: KAISER WAVE TYPE!'
Junkman used his shield to defend himself from the fire coming
from the SA Joes while he gathered junk for his most powerful attack
of the Junk Shots he traditionally used. He gathered almost a half-ton
of junk in his hands and then he fired it off. The tremendous force
behind the attack all but smothered the remaining forces and just
about destroyed the rest of the bank.
He escaped the bank as it fell from the attack. He called Riley
to tell him what went down. 'We ran into some SA Joes and they
killed BurstGirl and Springman. I'll head to back to see if Turbo
and Cloud need my help. I just wished there was more I could of
done to save them.' said Junkman. 'Don't beat yourself up, Junk.
From what you said, nothing could of been done to save them. Just
focus on getting back to the others. Remember, the RPD needs everyone
at 100% if want to win this war.'
--------------------
As Junkman ran back
to get to the others, it seemed that Turboman and Cloudman had
the advantage over Omniman and Golemman.
'Hey, Cloud. Let's finish them off.' 'Sure, Turbo.' They both charged
up for an fatal shot at the two Evil Eight members. This was their
mistake.
Omniman lunged at Turboman only to receive a fatal Scorch Wheel
to the chest, but not before he landed his lance into the neck
of Turboman, causing massive blood loss before falling down on
one knee. 'No... This can't be my demise. I have to avenge... Freezeman...'
He then fell down flat on his face, dead from the slice. Cloudman
fared just as bad because just as he hit Golemman with his Thunder
Bolt, the gigantic robot smashed Cloudman so hard that the impact
shattered his spine while Golemman was electrocuted thanks to the
Thunder Bolt.
Junkman made it to City Hall only to see more of his teammates
dead and there was nothing he could do about it. This angered him
to no end. The team's watcher, Riley, called in to check on the
team's status report.
'We've taken massive casualties here. I'm the only one left standing
but the SA Joes have been eliminated and the city is now in the
hands of the RPD, but who knows what can be done for my broken
soul.'
Riley sighed and just said 'Good work Junkman. As long as you survived
it's a good mission.' With that said, Junkman was teleported back
to RPD Headquarters and what will be a long and lonely night without
the rest of the team.
