from the final cut. It's extremely hard to get information like this. No rumors here, offical
"Capcom stated" characters that "almost" made it. Listed is the characters information as usual,
and of course the story behind why he didn't make it.
 #RRN001 Cyclone Man
Weapon:Gale Buster The votes are all one way. Cyclone Man is a dangerous robot. His only purpose in life is to destroy it. And many flee for saftey when he is around. Cyclone Man has the ability to produce high intensity, raging winds that match the windspeed of an actual tornado, and if used properly, his Gale Buster can even produce a very strong Twister on its own. Cyclone Man can fly at speeds of Mach 3 and his pattern of attack makes him nearly unbeatable. Unfortuantly Cyclone Man went bezerk one day and left Dr. Wily with a replacement sky robot. Gyro Man. MOTTO: "The Tornado is the most destructive force on Earth!" |

Story: This story so far has been unraveled, by myself. From a letter I wrote to Capcom way back in 98'. One of the representatives sent me information based on this character. Saying that he was going to star in Megaman 5. Due to some sort of confusion, other staff members thought of using a different character without consulting the other half of the team. The character being a "sky-type" robot. So here is the Megaman 5 team, with "nine" outlined, and ready to go Robot Masters. Orignally Cycloneman was to be the sky bot, but later was replaced with Gyroman, the other designed character. His weapon and style being a little more original and unique. Cycloneman's mug was then used for Starman who at first was the only Robot Master without a mugshot. Gyroman's stage got a small revision, and he got his own music soundtrack. A few years ago, I asked Capcom about "Cycloneman". And they wrote back saying such an idea was never thought up. So, maybe they are hiding something, or maybe it was all a fluke. Whatever the circumstance is...this guy will probably never see the light of day.
