Sinister Six: Revenge of the Scissor Army

by Rich (Bombman) Kassidy

Revenge of the Loose Ends

It's fairly obvious that one of my biggest projects - Revenge of the Scissor Army - will forever be incomplete, as I am focused on R -E almost exclusively. So, in a nut shell, I'll give you guys the cliffnotes version of where the story was headed.

I'm going to post the original notes I had written down a year ago. Keep in mind many of these ideas changed as I actually wrote the chapters, so a few of the notes will be inconsistant with what actually went down in the book. However, you'll still be able to get a good idea of where the story was headed, even though a few plot points are indeed missing.

Author Notes

Important story points to include:

-Intro Red

-Resurrects Cutman

-Cut steals Light's comp and disfigures him

-Explain to readers how the Scissor Army survived (through character dialogue)

-S.A. attacks Phoenix and destroy the city before the S6 can act, causing more strain within the team.

-Mech Maniacs finally show up; Comrades haven't been contacted yet

-The S.A. split up and begin assaulting multiple targets across the globe:

-Hardman and Cut -Chan encounter Stoneman and Crystal -Chan at cave in Greece (Stone and Crystal are brother and sister, and are sent to the cave to retrieve a giant deposit of crystillium to further power General Cut's weapon deployment program. Hardy fights Stoneman/ Cut -Chan fights Crystal. Both Stone and Crystal escape after a close match with the heroes.

- Crashman is keeping guard over a Sniper Joe factory left standing at Phoenix after the S.A. invade and is confronted by Odin. Crashman's face is severely disfigured and scarred, and he explains how he craved revenge on Rockman. Odin and Crash duke it out anyways. Meanwhile, in that same city (Sheriff) Magnetman and Gravityman fight (I've always wanted to see ‘em fight; now they will, dammit!). Mags barely wins over Gravity. Crashman is able to fend off Odin and keep the factory functioning (meaning troops will continue to be made).

- The President calls in a nuclear strike on Desert Gulch in retaliation for Phoenix. However, the newly designed Gyroman intercepts the stealth bomber as it releases the bomb and hands it off to Frostman, who throws the nuke back at the plane, proving that the desert base is thoroughly protected. After this, General Cut orders Stoneman and an unnamed, unseen RM (Heatman) to begin the next project (an artificial volcano topped with a base at the top).

- Bubbleman and Waveman are sent to the coast of South America to retrieve (? -dunno yet. Better be damn important). Since the Mechs nor the S6 have any water -ready RMs, Iceman and Geminiman are slightly tweaked to fight them. One of the bad guys die, but the other gets away with the goods.

-Searchman and Napalmman set up a small base in the Vietnam jungle to launch a new weapon into Beijing (it's a bio weapon that kills human beings, yet doesn't hurt the Earth) Fushi and Snakeman are sent in. Searchman fights Raijin/ Fushi encounters Napalm just as the missile is activated, giving her two minutes to kill Napalmman and stop the launch. Fushi fails to beat Napalmman, but is able to get on top of the missile as it launches. As she attempts to disarm the warhead, General Cut gives Napalm the order to blow it, killing Fushi. Then, the real missiles (two of them) are launched from a different location, which come flying towards Beijing. Gutsman and Spark -Chan are waiting at the city's limits as they watch the missiles close in, but they have no way to stop them. Spark -Chan has the idea of having Erik throw a large object with Spark -Chan riding it to try and shock the warheads out of the sky. One of the missiles fall into the ocean harmlessly, the other is damaged and sent into a small village miles away from Beijing, killing the small village's inhabitants.

-Spark -Chan realizes she has no real way to land from her impromptu vehicle and prepares to die by falling into the ground. However, she is saved by Windman, meaning the Metallic Mercs have finally been completed.

- The S.A. is quickly taking over the Western US and begins moving Eastward, eventually attacking Oklahoma City. The city is nearly ruined and the General takes a walk through the destruction to admire his handiwork. While on a roof top, he is encountered by City Garage, who vows to kill him right there. Cut, however, makes short work of the human and has him beat. Holding him over the roof's edge, Cut reveals that Bomb -Chick was Garage's sister. Garage, accepting this, shoves a chaff grenade into the General's mouth and let's himself fall to his death. The General manages to snag his dog tags as he begins choking on the dust.

- Continuing through the streets, the General now meets with Gary, who went out on his own to confront him and settle the score himself. However, General Cut instead reveals to Gary the truth behind the HARRP project (that's what was on the computer he stole), as well as reveal to the reader the origin of Red. Taking advantage of the stunned Iceman, Cutman disarms Gary and once again threatens to kill him. But, a new Bombman (Rich) interrupts Cut and helps Gary escape.

- A seriously pissed off Gary encounters Dr Light back at his lab (Light recovered a few days before to finish Bombman and the Metallic Mercs, but he still can't walk). Gary then quits the team and goes missing.

- The Cossack Comrades finally join the rest (they were all deactivated to receive upgrades), but not before having to fight the “Snow Devil” sent by General Cut. Drill makes quick work of the monster and the team meets with the others at Light's lab. Meanwhile, Cut reveals that he has a mole in the Comrades and is keeping tabs on everyone now. Cossack also joins with Dr Light in Japan.

- (This will be a huge set of events and fights within the book) Suddenly, a new force shows up to challenge General Cut and crew - King and the six new RMs from Rock & Forte. Seeing this as a golden chance to recover and hopefully see Cut's forces dwindle, the heroes stay the hell out of it as six of the S.A. step up to King's challenge. All of King's forces are wiped out, and Colonel Red shows his true strength by slaughtering King (It is important to note that this is the first major event in the Rockman canon that I have not followed so strictly. Hell, I've downright changed the flow of history in the AU, truly separating it from the regular canon)

- Chargeman and a few others are spotted cruising towards the Eastern US coast with an unknown cargo.

-

- The heroes find out General Cut's insane plan of using hundreds of those bio missiles all over the globe. Seeing no other choice, they all travel to the S.A.'s new base located atop the new volcano. However, the General was expecting this, and designed the base with a series of honeycomb shaped chambers where he would have various S.A. officers waiting to do battle. The fights go like this:

-Fireman vs. Heatman

-Cut -Chan vs. Quickie (!)

-Lennon vs. Swordman

-Shadowman vs. Bizarro Shadowman (another one of Wily's failed experiments picked up by Cut)

-Magnetman vs. Stoneman

-Crashman vs. Bombman

-Erik vs. Frostman

-Hardman vs. Gyroman

-Plantman & Knightman vs. Woodman & Airman

-Diveman vs. Waveman

-Drillman vs. Ringman (guess who the mole is:)

-Torchman vs. (?)

-(think of more)

-The surviving heroes meet within a huge room where General Cut reveals yet another fiendish trap: Super Chaos.

-As the others fight Super Chaos, Colonel Red awaits outside on the connecting bridge. Here, Gary finally shows up after a long hiatus to have a showdown with his clone. Depending on the ending I decide to go with, the outcome of the fight will be either Red getting thrown in the lava (homage to Ice vs. Red), or Red surviving and the fight comes to a draw.

-General Cut awaits in his large control room as the final countdown for the missiles looms. Again, I have two endings at my disposal depending on how the public is liking this story.

Ending Option 1 -I can end it by having a huge surprise in the form of Rockman, now in X's body (note that it is the classic series Rock, not the X series Rock), come in had have one hell of a fight with the General. The General is tossed out of his control room and presumably killed along with Red as X stops the missile launch.

Ending 2 - Somebody (dunno who yet) fights Cut in the control room. However, the fight takes too long and the missiles are launched. Despite Odin and Classi's best efforts, 60% of the missiles get past them, hitting many targets in the Western Hemisphere. This effectively gives half the world to the S.A., who instate their robotic rule on that side of the planet. The heroes manage to escape back to Japan, where they find out Light has died of complications due to his injuries. This wouldn't really be an ending, but rather a gateway to a whole other set of stories as the S6 (still minus Gary in this version), which now have the S6, Mechs, Comrades (minus the spy), Mercs, and Drastic Measures sort of as rebels fighting the S.A., who now have the R & F Robot Masters at their disposal. I guess this could be stretched out as long as I damn well please in this “ending”, but I want to see how the fans like the story up to the halfway point.

-Guess I should note that the Scissor Army includes the MM2, MM5, and MM8 Robot Masters, as well as various other villains.

And there you have it.

I was originally going to have Colonel Red get killed ala Ice vs Red, but the missiles would have been launched with General Cutman surviving his fight with Cut -Chan. The vast majority of humanity would have been wiped out, with only the Far East surving the attack due to Dr Cossack's quick thinking (Dr Light had died of complications from his injuries during the heroes' fight at Elysium).

At that point, I would have actually turned over this canon to the fans, where they could write their own follow up stories within this apocolyptic future (The SA in control of the wastelands; the remaining humans and the heroes taking refuge in Japan and Korea). Ben was actually planning on writing his own follow up, since he was well aware of what was planned.

There's still a whole mess of finer points I had in mind but hadn't written down. I'll talk about those when people ask about them.
