Sheriff Magnetman doesn't have a human alter-ego like some of the other reformed RMs. His AI was programmed from scratch.
Somehow, Sheriff Magnetman became obsessed with the American Old West, going so far as to modify his appearance and weapons to reflect this, and even adapting his personality around it.
Sheriff Mags is a reckless lawman, at best. He doesn't take the legal aspect of it seriously at all, instead behaving more like a hired gun that claims that the ends justify the means.
In real life, Rich, the guy who depicts Sheriff Magnetman and once depicted Kenta Eigen, is an avid Cowboy Action Shooter, even sitting as a member in his local CAS committee. He welds a pair of Schofields, a Winchester '73 carbine, and a Winchester '97 pump shotgun for his matches.
