Toy Unicron and Galvatron
This took me a week or two to finish, but it's finally done! Toy Galvatron and his master .... unproduced prototype Unicron!

Now .... alot of people say the toy of Galvatron isn't cool enough to be a Decepticon leader. I've always thought that wasn't so. He just wasn't drawn well, in my opinion! So here he is, heralding the way for his evil master! I'm mixing timelines because he's on that lava planet he fell on after he was tossed out by Rodimus Prime. Thought it appropo.

Another reason I wanted to do the toy versions of these guys is this: ever since Dreamwave I've seen a whole bunch of TFs based mostly off the toys (as opposed to the animation model). But rarely Galvatron. And never Unicron! And even if Galvatron is drawn in his toy forn, it's usually only his lower half. And is almost always colored purple. So, I decided to do a purely toy version of my favorite Decepticon leader!

I wanted to do Unicron because I wanted to make that prototype look cool. And really ... his animation model couldn't really transform right (neither could Galvatron's). They were made with alot of animation cheats.

As for details ... Galvatron here is actualy a prototype version shown in the TV magazine picture for Scramble City as well as the Scramble City toy guide. There were only minor variations between this and the final toy version. Galvatron, Unicron, and the background were all done on seperate sheets of papaer and layered together. I wanted to draw Galvy and Uni individually.
