Scissor Army Nightmare Topman

Whaaaaaaaaa? Why is Geminiman smooshed with Nintendo Power Topman and why is he having such a bad day? And what's the "Scissor Army"?

Look, man, you can just enjoy a weird Megaman fan character on a design level, right? Right?

For the curious, this is what late stage fan characters look like. So, one member of my Megaman 3 team - who is currently Topman - started his tenure as Geminiman's clone - Geminiman Red. He splits into two so he can have two people by each slot, right? There weren't firm rules at the time, so I figured it'd be alright. He was "Geminiman Red" as a reference to "Superman Red" of DC comic's Silver Age. Anyway, the guy (then known as Nightmare) concocted an absurd origin story where he was some entity from the Nioghtmare Dimension who was inhabiting Geminiman's (and later Topman's) body.

Years pass and Nightmare (now Spinning Demon) is embarrassed by the origin for some reason so he writes a story where it's explained away as madness on his part. Unwilling to let such a simple explanation go without overcomplicating it I have his character spin out his own evil double - Nightmare Topman - combining the looks of Geminiman and Topman. I mean, Shadowman's not the only Mech who deserves an evil double, right? Share the love. His powers were all of Gemini's and Top's (but he couldn't split into two), but he was also capable of illusions which he'd use to mimic other powers and keep his opponents on their toes.

Anyway, he meets up with another fan character and gets captured. An evil homicidal version of Cutman -

An evil homicidal version of Cutman starts to rebuild him, but doesn't finish. I wrote a story where the Mechs meet and beat this version of Nightmare Topman, but was too lazy to make a sprite. It would be a while before I even make a sketch. And now that sketch has been colored!

I had a very set plan for Nightmare Topman. Being totally messed up like this? Actually a part of the plan. He'd eventually become a disembodied virus (much closer to the intended power set Nightmare first envisioned).
