TMNT - Fake Bro
Here's another butt obscure "maybe not a character" guy from the TMNT video games. This time from the SNES version of Tournament Fighters. The Fake Bro.

The SNES Tournament Fighters is, in my opinion, far superior to the Genesis version. Not only did they have character we actually CARED about, but the story mode had a better plot. Sprites looked better too, if you ask me ...

On a tangent, I wish someone would make a MUGEN game that combined the two Tournament Fighters ... and maybe the NES one too ... but all there is is one that remakes the genesis version of the game. But, I digress...

This is the turtle recolor from that game. He is both a more valid character and a less valid character than the clone TMNT.

He's more valid in that he uses any of the turtle's weapons against them. Yeah he's just a recolor, but unilke the Genesis turtles, the SNES ones pull their weapons outta nowhere, so that means this guy is an evil fifth turtle that can use any of the four turtle's weapons and not an evil clone.

But he's also less valid in that he doesn't even have a name. Yeah, that's right. Even "Fake Bro" just comes from a line of dialogue in the game. After all, he is just a recolor of player 1 ... but even the Genesis clones have names. Even if they are just "Clone Leo" and the like.

Also, I gotta wonder how much the various Tournament Fighter teams were talking to each other. Barely any characters repeat between the two TMNT versions and then you have this guy who'se colored ALOT LIKE the Clone TMNT from the Genesis version. To me, this suggests they tried to coordinate things somewhat.

Anyhow, if I had encountered the guy earlier, Fake Bro might have ended up with Mechaturtle as one of the glorious evil turtles of my childhood. And here he finally is in color.
