TMNT - Turtlenator MK2

This is actually the last "evil turtle" I had planned for this series. A second stab at the Turtlebot. I think it turned out much better than my first try. I dunno tough ... something about it is still buggin' me. Or maybe it's just the overall look of the Turtlebot that I don't like.

Anyhow, this time I've colored him thrice. The first is the look from the toy and video games. I think it's probably his most official colors and it's the one I based this pic off of.

The second one of from the TV show. Which was extremely simplified in terms of overall design. I didn't bother with simplifying the drawing, I just recolored him. The colors are obviously a homage to Mirage's TMNT, which all had red bandannas. This one was made by Baxter for the TMNT to fight and it was a pretty pathetic appearance by Turtlebot. The Video Games were much more epic. And I haven't even played 'em!

The last one is Dreamwave's Turtlenator. I gotta admit I BS-ed the majority of these colors since the sample cover only shows the head. Judging from the cover it has holographic capabilities and disguised itself as Donatello. At least the bandanna's purple so Donny's a good guess. This one is probably the least interesting of the designs since it seems they were going for a flat color. Naturally the comic didn't get made, so your guesses on the colors are as good as mine.

I dunno why there's so many widely diffident color schemes for this guy. I guess, like the Dark Turtles, Turtlebot went through a lot of different color schemes. I guess the TMNT people try more at the evil turtle characters than any other bad guy. Or maybe their changes are more noticeable because the evil turtles are the only ones I care to draw at the moment...
