Wait, we actually got gift art after so long? It’s true! Here’s a nice piece showcasing gift art of the Megaman PC guys done in the style of the old Japanese Box art done by hansungkee. Thanks for the art, man! It looks fantastic!
]]>Nightmare Topman gets really messed up in the epilogues. He never gets a sprite in his "super messed up" stage, but this is how he was meant to look, now in color! After his battle with Mesmerman he got captured and experimented on by General Cutman during Business of War, but never quite finished. As a result his mind and body are just a mess. Poor guy.
]]>The greatest (or at least most enduring) foe of Dr. Cossack’s Comrades finally gets some fan art! This is his remade body after his horrible first form was upgraded and commandeered by Dr. Cossack after he went insane. As a side note I always did wonder why he was named Kryptoman. It never comes up!
]]>A classic from when I pulled pranks on the site. Rock and Roll mortified by what you think you’re clicking on! At the time, of course, I had no idea that Rock X Roll was canon. I always kinda liked how the image itself turned out, so I reworked it a little adjusting the resolution and a few other nitpicks.
]]>One of the villains for Series 9 – Rockman Shadow! If Quint is presented as Dr. Who then RM Shadow is the Master. This was a pretty fun picture to draw, even if I did wind up cheapening out on the space background by reusing one I used a million times over. I always thought the Wonderswan game was the fan ficciest of all Megaman games (with it’s emphasis on obscure characters like Quint and bringing back Tango and even Reggae), so what batter place for it’s main antagonist to show up than in one of my own fics? It was fun to write in Shadow for when he was in the series. Who knew a nobody like Quint to get an antagonist of his own? Good for you, little guy!
]]>One of my oldest Sketches for the Team Scene remastered – City Garage! I remember Gary really taken with the idea of this guy just being some shlub (at the time there was never any image of the dude, so I made up something ridiculous). It was nice to get a crack at this older picture of this old fan character one more time.
]]>Can’t have a set without a Bizarro Shadowman picture, can we? I still like this design and I still like this picture, which is why I retraced and recolored it.
]]>Another random character – Cleavemen, formerly of the Evil Eight! Life hasn’t been kind to ol’ Cleave after the big War, no sir. He lost himself bit by bit and now all that’s left of him is in a lowly met body. But watch out! He’s an ankle biter.
I also made this playing with AI online when it was new. It was an alright distraction; I can see why some people have made it their whole thing.
]]>Another set of fan art is kicking off. I call this set "a random grab-bag of characters." Very creative, I know. First up is a super old fan character – the Arch Nemesis from Darkman’s Robot Warriors? I think I might be the last person to remember him, maybe? Well, here’s art of the guy long after his original creator stopped caring.
]]>Mechanical Maniacs Moments characters conclude! Here he have Hadrian’s pet creation Gag. He very briefly spun off into his own webcomic in Rich’s small page which was hosted at Code Island Attacker’s old (free) Tripod site before that went and moved and all content was lost beyond recovery. He came from the "Bob and George" era of Megaman comics where every sprite comic author had to have a Megaman clone avatar of themselves. But his comics already had an author avatar – Hardman. So Gag was just also in the comics, running around, doing his own thing until he made his way into the epilogues where he hung out in Hardman’s stories where he had a lot less to do.
]]>Mechanical Maniacs Moments characters continue! ModelRocketMan Blasts off! And onto the front page. In the Moments he always talks with signs like Wile E Coyote. While it works okay as a visual gag, I think it would have outstayed it’s welcome pretty quick has he stayed longer. It also doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. Kinda wish the Moments gave these guys a proper send-off so they could find a place in proper continuity somewhere, but it’s really loaded up as it is, so maybe it’s for the best they they’re in their own little corner of the epiverse.
]]>SERVE!!! Mechanical Maniacs Moments characters continue! And now we have Tennisman! Who is Tennisman? The robot champion of Tennis, that’s who! His fight with Snakeman where he served up explosive tennis balls? Of course they detonate on impact…
Did I mention the Ominous Octa were made when Dark Hard was drunk?
]]>Mechanical Maniacs Moments characters continue! It’s Pencilman NINJA! Like most of the Octa he got pwned in his very first battle. I think his leftover scraps were meant to be used to build part of Dark Top, but that’s not canon. Whatever happened to this guy? Some say he’s still out there. Making corrections wherever he goes.
Mechanical Maniacs Moments characters continue! This time we have their leader – the one and only Mirageman! He’s basically a low-rent Geminiman since he can only make images of himself; not full on clones. You know that one trope in cartoons? "Which one is the real me? You can’t hit me if you don’t know where I am!" Well, that’s Mirageman. That’s all he’s got. Maybe I could have thought of more to do with that if he made his way to the epilogues proper. As it stands he only appeared in the Moments.
]]>Mechanical Maniacs Moments characters continue! Here comes the weirdest member of the Ominous Octa – Glaciarman! He’s big. So big he couldn’t fir through the door of the Mech’s base (which was the Ark at the time, so … I guess the Mechs added a super small door to the thing? I mean they’d have to. And all the furniture is too large for them … why did I think that would be a good base again?)
]]>Mechanical Maniacs Moments characters continue! Storman’s storming in. Or maybe he’s still outside talking about how epic it’ll be when he finally does …
]]>Mechanical Maniacs Moments characters continue! It’s Discman’s rebuilt, crappier form – Walkman! He actually appeared in Series 9 quite a bit since I had it tie into the Maniacs Moments.
]]>Mechanical Maniacs Moments characters continue! It’s the Ominous Octa’s Discman this time around. really wanted to incorporate the rainbow effect found on discs and was really glad to have found a way to do it.
]]>More characters from the Mechanical Maniacs Moments? That’s right! This set features Hadrian’s own set of fan made Robot Masters – the Ominous Octa! And we start with Stereoman.
]]>Last of the Mechs from the Mechanical Maniacs Moments’ final storyline. Future and Dark Shadowman. Future Shadow was one of the first I drew of the set, but I just couldn’t think of a good pose, so he wound up being kind of generic. But I do like how Dark Shadow turned out.
]]>More Mechs from the Mechanical Maniacs Moments’ final storyline. Spark Man and Spark Woman! Yeah, not much more to say other than that.
]]>The Mechs from the Mechanical Maniacs Moments’ final storyline continue. Here we have Snakeman. From grizzled vet to horrific monstrosity. Future Snake was drawn early on, that’s why he’s the only one in a more unique perspective. Dark Snake was colored with JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure in mind while I was coloring him. It was fun.
]]>Well, my wife and I have been trying for a few months now. And it’s the best news we’ve heard in a good long while in these lousy times. If it’s a boy, he’ll be Leon Wolfgang. And if it’s a girl, Zia Marie. This is a chapter of our life we’ve been eager to start since Maegan and I got married, so we’re happy that our next adventure starts now.
]]>More team members from Mechanical Maniacs Moments. Future and Dark Topman, the Nightmare in tights. No, wait … nobody calls him that anymore. He’s the Spinning Demon! Of course it’s been ages since he’s been active so nobody calls him that anymore either! Their sprites didn’t differ from the official one’s too much so I went hyper literal on them.
]]>The author himself – Hadrian from his own Mechanical Maniacs Moments. In both cynical Future flavor and psychotic Dark. Hardian was one of the most influential team scene writers. His influence continued in the Mechs canon long after his tenure as Hardman was over and was even felt in the Mechs series finale! One regret I have is that he never properly finished the Mechanical Maniacs Moments. My quickie joke ending just isn’t a good substitute.
