Start from the beginning

A few days have passed since the zombie case outside of Megalopolis and the paranormal investigator known as Geminiman of the Mechanical Maniacs had been enjoying some good downtime from his job. There were no odd occurrences being reported to him, so each day he would just swing by his office located in the basement of the Megalopolis Police Department and sit back and relax as the days went by then occasionally walk out and have a good night in the city with his fellow team-mates or simply on his own. After all, who needs company when you can split yourself into six? He was expecting this day to be no different when he walked into his office and was greeted by his secretary Sohee, whom he had hired as a result of the incident during the completion of the zombie case.

“Ah… Master Geminiman, Good Morning!” said the adorably cute ghost, levitating behind her deck setup next to the basement entrance, “Shall I make you some tea to wake you up?”

Start from the beginning

I hope you all enjoyed Raijin’s AXE finale, I know I did. After ceding the floor to Raijin for so long it’s nice to get this "new" epilogue up on the site. Well, I say "new", but it is and it isn’t. Lennon wrote "Working With Ghosts" years and years ago, but never finished it. The Business of War started up and it interrupted progress made in the story. As part of a pet project in salvaging old stories for the Mechs, I present this second salvaged story! (Virus being the first). Hope you enjoy.

Another month another update. Last month’s epilogue actually took a long time to finish and eventually Mags and Snake both helped give me enough juice to get to the end and finish the damned thing. So after finishing it I took a look back at some of our other unfinished tales. This one in particular always nagged at me since it was supposed to end off Series 6. But it didn’t and I wound up putting everything on hold for a long while waiting in vain for it to be finished. Ho hum. There’s no reason it couldn’t be adapted to the current series, though! So take a look at a newly finished tale of the Mechs – Virus!

Another update is here and this time it has nothing to do with site maintenance. It’s a new epilogue by yours truly (with input from Mags and Snake) wherein the Galactic Council comes to Earth and shenanigans ensue.

Another new epilogue is now up … Off The Fourth Wall by Ben (yes, another not by me). This ep is set just a small time in the future of our series, but is posted now to be timely. That’s right – you can actually expect more eps to come!

Epilogues are making a comeback starting with a new one by …. Snakeman? Not me!? Yes, that’s right! A non-Gauntlet epilogue, the End Devil! Check it out.

We have the first epilogue from our new Hardman coming atcha! Actually this was written months and months ago … and we had a whole thing planned before we were going to post it, but it never materialized and … hm. Well! Here it is anyway, at long last! Out FOXed! Yes, Ben couldn’t help but bring his furry alter ego along to the Mech’s universe! Don’t know who he is? Check out Year of the Fox and I Think I’m Turning Kitsune.

Also, earlier this month Protodude reported on new hurt sprites for the RM 25th anniversary soundtrack. But these were actually made for the 20th anniversary (or at least first seen over here then, these were probably made for the Pocketstation for the RM re-releases for the PSX) and, since they’re now difficult to find, I’ll post up what images I have of them. I was originally going to try recreating the sprites, but …. just never did. There were taken right off Capcom’s product page. Well, except for one view of a jacket. I called the bracelet picture “higher quality”, but I suppose it may not be so much. I think it might give a better idea of where the pixels go for some of the RMs present there than a photo, but … *shruggs*. Maybe it’ll help, maybe it won’t.
