Well, it’s been two months since Series 4 ended ……. High time for Series 5 to begin!

Exciting I know. But here’s the catch: Unlike Series 4 this series will not be updated regularly.

The epilogue today is one I particularly like. “How the Mechanical maniacs Met Everyone!” A retro tale detailing how we …… met everyone!

Anyways, unless you’re blind or an idiot or something you must have noticed the poll next to the updates. Y’see it has been recently brought to my attention that my wallpapers are kinda small and that resizing them may actually make them worse for people with really big monitors. So, I wonder …….. should I make bigger version of my wallpapers for you guys who have bigger monitors? It works out fine for me the way it is, but it may not be so for everyone. See, unlike other webmasters, I care. So, vote! Because when you don’t vote …… you let other people make the decision FOR you.

Well it’s been a week and no access to the Classic Gaming stuff yet. I guess I’ll never have that handy redirect. BAH! Lessee, in a month I went from 900+ daily hits to 600+ when I said I’d take a small break, to 100 + hits now. Quite a change in fortunes, I must admit.

BAH! I did the affiliates thing so I wouldn’t HAVE to advertise anymore! Oh well……. Once the search engines kick in I’ll feel better. After all, that’s where the majority of hits came from. That and the Bob and George forums advertising my sprite tutorial. I love those guys.

My energy this week has been mostly to get Iceman and the Sinister Six moved to this server. I gotta say we’re making great time. I’d say we have …… oh, about 95 % of the site done. All that’s left is two sections, really. And I don’t think there’s any more broken links left in the site. Hey, I could be wrong, so if you find one e-mail me, but I don’t think there are.

If anyone visits this place to get the 411 on Planet Megaman, our esteemed hosts, and wants to know how long we’ll be until we’re back again ….. I dunno. It seems most of the files have been uploaded. Nothing was lost in, what I refer to as, “the Classic Gaming immaturity incident”. Most of what’s going on now is giving the site some new features and a slightly different look. I don’t think it’ll be too long.

So, what update does that leave for THIS site? Well, I took the time to make a real nice Snakeman wallpaper continuing my “Wallpapers for all the MM3 TV show guys” project. Who’s next? Who knows! You can find the wallpaper in the Downloads section under (guess what?) wallpapers!

A Surprise new site!

So there I was, casually surfing the net, when Classic Gaming pulled the rug right out from under my site! And not JUST my site …….. every site UMMXZ was hosing including Planet Megaman. No e-mail, no message left, no warning. Nuthing.

And this suits me just fine since I had just finished setting everything up at the new URL which you have obviously found if you’re reading this.

Of course I’d LIKE to have set up a redirect for a while. That’d be nice. But that ain’t happening, at least not in the foreseeable future. So, good-bye Classic Gaming and Hello Zelda Universe (via Planet Megaman).

Everything here has been set up to work with two exceptions. The roms and the A-H speak section. Why? Well, I never intend to update the roms. Ever. And the Xtreme Team ……… has been dealt with in such a way that I’m satisfied. Seeing as that’s that I probably won’t return the A-H speak section anytime soon, but …… you never know.

And so here we are. Two years after we moved to Classic Gaming. Hopefully this place will be even bigger and better.

Image Gallery, Sprite Tutorial

More gift art in the “other images” section of the image gallery. Thanks, JP Pace!

I’ve also updated the Sprite Tutorial with a few more tips. I usually tweak things in that tutorial without mention, but this was a more substantial tweak as I go into what not to do in animations.

Also, it may interest you guys to know that Planet Megaman is moving. And with it the Mechanical Maniacs. And the Sinister Six too, actually. Y’know I was actually considering changing my layout for the big move, but after formatting the epilogues and the guides I have come to a conclusion: not in a million years is it worth the price of spending hours upon hours of formatting. Never. Ever.

Lemme clue you guys in on some specifics. The Mechanical Maniacs take up a hefty 172 MB. The epilogues ALONE take up 3.55 MB with 110 files in 5 folders including unreleased eps. That’s 110 files I had to go into and format. Lemme tell ya, in the most ideal circumstances, that’s STILL annoying! So no new layout THIS year!

In an impulsive update I have added bios for all the older members I could recover onto the special thanks page. Uh …… unfortunately, I never figured I’d need to replace so many people on the site, so I’m missing the following people:

Eric (Hardman #1), CJ (Topman #1), Gizmo (Geminiman #1), and Anton (Needleman #1).

In the slim chance that anyone happens to have a copy of these BIOS (for whatever reason) feel free to e-mail me. Also, if any of you old members read this, feel free to re-submit a new (but hopefully somewhat faithful to your old) bio for inclusion.

Image Gallery, We’re back!

Yeah, we are back. I feel a little better. Better enough to wanna update the site again. So, here we are.

This week Raijin aka Snakeman has updated his image gallery full of purty pictures. Who doesn’t love Image Gallery updates?

Also, during the week I’ve been helping Iceman (of the Sinister Six) finish off some of his old epilogues. Alot of his old epilogues, actually. So if you want Gauntlety-epilogue-goodness head over to Ice’s site sometime ‘cuz sometime soon you’ll be able to check out some of my eps over there.

Okay, there’s a lotta little updates today.. First off someone else found the secret page. Centaurman! Congrats. And now ….. the secret page competition has been suspended. The link has been removed and all the secret stuff deleted. It’ll return eventually, but for now, the search is over.

I’ve added a couple new games to the Chinese games page. I’ve had them for a while now, but never got around to posting them ….. until today.

The Image Gallery has a few new images. Some in fan art and some in my own art section. They’re all pretty good so check ’em out.

We have some new sprites. Ryan Quick donated some Rockman Zero 2 sprites. In the sprites gallery, little “new” button beside them. Also some donated sprites are in the Gauntlet sprite gallery. Thanks, guys. Although some are kinda weird, it’s the thought that counts.

I’ve added the Geminiman Wallpaper tot he Wallpapers section (which is in the Downloads section). It’s one of my better ones I think.

Finally, I’ve added a pretty snazzy new banner by our own Topman. Had to scale it down a little (sorry, Tops), but it still kicks ass. It’s in the links section.

Finally, I have a bit of an announcement to make.

I’m having allot of hard times in real life so I’m taking a break. Not shutting down the site, but I have bigger things to worry about right now than keeping this place steadily maintained. I’m still reachable at the forums, mind, but I’m taking a break. I don’t wanna even think about updating and content. Don’t ask when I’ll be back. Probably not before the end of August, but probably not too long after. I dunno. But I DO know I need time off.

So, peruse the site. Look through our dozens of older sections. And come back later.

Sprite Gallery, Secret Page

Well, the sprite gallery has been updates with Rockman Zero 2 sprites! Specifically the new techniques. Thanks goes to Blackheart for donating these sprites to me. They can be located in the sprite gallery.

The Secret Page has been updated. I’ve added a FAQ to the section with such popular questions as, “Can you tell me where the secret page is?” and “Does the secret page even exist?” Also, due to popular demand, I have added a TIP to FINDING the secret page! However, since I can’t make things THAT easy for you, I have hidden the tip somewhere on the site. I’ve given the secret page itself a nice overhaul so finding it has extra incentive!

Uh, also ….. don’t bother asking Beverly where the secret page is. I’ve changed the link since then.

Well, all this secret page stuff pretty much took the entire week, really. Uh …… but, hey why not check out Planet Megaman? Or go outside or something?

Or, hey, go see League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Sure, it’s not quite the comic, but I liked it. Worth my $8!

Epilogue, Image Gallery

Yeah….. AGAIN!

Thought Series 4 was over, eh? Well it ISN’T! Betcha didn’t see THAT one coming, eh? Series 4 concludes with a new epilogue by Topman: “Aftermath”!

New images up in ye olde gallery. Fan art from Fandango to start things off with.
Next I’ve updated my own gallery ……. again. With more art of Bizarro in his newest design. The sprite was based of this, by the way. Also included is the last of the Captain N robot masters! Yeah, I know a few people who’ve been waiting for these. Finally got to see the episode and now the sketches are released for ALL to see!

Well, both Canada day and America’s Flag day has passed. So, I hope you all liked the fireworks. Funny how both country’s days are in July.

Welp, the three part possession storyline of Series 4 has reached it’s end! How will the ‘Maniacs triumph over such overwhelming odds? Hey, overwhelming odds are our specialty! Read the adventure in the epilogues section!

I’ve also added a new image gallery to the mix – Raijin’s! AKA Snakeman! For those who frequent our forum, these images shouldn’t be new …. but to those many, many people who do not go to the Image Gallery and check it out!
