Ass hole, misce., links, guestbook

Well, it’s been a bit, hasn’t it? I’ve been busy lately. Still am, actually. Progress is slowing, but it hasn’t stopped.

First up, a new ass hole. This one actually wrote something almost intelligent, and thus I respond. We get too many idiots trying to flame us, it’s more work to actually respond to that nonesense.

I’ve updated the team links a little. The Homestead teams don’t look like their coming back any time soon, so I’ve moved them to the former teams section. Pharoah says he’s gonna revive the MMX3 team, but until it actually happs, it’s gonna stay put on my former team section.

I’ve added a “retro” version of the site in the mice. section. Basically, it’s how I think the site might’ve been in 1996. If you weren’t into these MM pages back then, you might not know that things were subtly different. I even found a sprite of Pixelboy!

The Roms were hosted on Homestead. The roms are now blocked by Homestead. The roms section does not work. I dunno whether it’d be worth my time to redo that section. It gets PLENTY of hits, but I dunno if it’s worth the trouble of reopening it. If you want the roms section active, e-mail me or post something in the forum. Otherwise, I won’t bother with it.

Speaking of forums, I’ve finally figues out what was wrong with the Senac one and have taken control of it. I’ve erased posts and issued bans to the appropriate parties. I’ve made it match the rest of the page as well.

The guestbook has gotten pretty damn full and so I move onward to another. Unfortunately the one I signed up for is very, very slow, so I might not use it. I’ll let you know when I’ve decided on a new one.

You might be wondering whether I’ve forgot about the epilogues. I haven’t, actually. My staff and I are actually working on them as we speak. We have quite a few done, but none are going to be posted until we have enough to satisfy me.

I’d also like to announce I came in second in Sigmah’s Ultimate Fan Art Contest (also known as UFAC). Hooray for me! My entries wil be posted …… eventually.

Not a big update today. Sue me, they can’t all be big.

First off, I uploaded my PC customs (anyone who frequents the Sinister Six’s MM Database shoud be familiar with these). Now that I have real sprites I found ….. innacuracies in my origional designs. Not that they were totally off, but they were wrong enough to warrent some change. Updated sprites can be found in the image gallery. One day I’ll re-do Sharkman’s Cd …. the current one sucks.

Also, I did some inner workings stuff. Nothing really changed per say. I’ve decided to keep the roms section up until it gets deleted. You see, the roms and several of the bigger images are kept on a Homestead server. And that’s all I use that crappy server for. Once I was trying to help out a buddy on a collaberative thing – and the project sorta died. But I still used the space to store stuff that I didn’t want eating at my Geocities account. Well, thanks to a stupid change in policy, and my pal’s neglect to tranfer full control over to moi, I have 0 access to any files over there. And – guess what? – that inclued roms. SO, what’ll probably happen is that one day Homestad will discover an ungodly amount of space on that server and shut it down. Until then – you got roms.

And I got another account there to store my bigger images, for anyone that’s interested in knowing. Since Homestead’s new policy inclues less space than ever before, I’ll probably search for another free server to store roms on when the current one dies.

A pretty big update this time around.

First off, we have a new epilogue! “Ain’t Never Had A Friend Like Me!” It was written by yours truly and can be found in the epilogues section.

Next, I have updated the Gauntlet sprite sheet -again. This time with custom life bars from several MM games. Inspired by the UMMF. Also, be sure to check out the S6’s page. Because of my Gauntlet MM Soccer style sprite, he reopened his own MM Soccer Conversions section.

And now, for your viewing pleasure: THE MEGAMAN PC SPRITES! Real ones! From the game! Yes, they were a pain in the ass to make, but their there. Along with an unedited PC Skull Castle to show you what I had to work with!

I also uploaded the MM3 PAL box. Y’see, the PAL system was for Europe and Australia. Since Nintendo didn’t want international game pirating, they made them country-specific so they won’t work on a system outside the country. They still do that too, and it’s quite irritating. But, anyways, this is the box, manual, and cartridge for MM3 – the PAL version.

Some bad news though. Due to circumstances beyone my control, the roms page must be taken down. If I can find another free server to host the roms, It’ll be back, but for now, It’s goin’ down. Sometime this week.

Actual content uploaded. Still loaded with work, but I updated a bit. Added “Mortal Kombat 5” to the roms section. Also Added a new ANIMATED adventure by Stone. Also fixed a small prob with the MM 5 BIOS

In other news, the positions for Hardman and Gemini man are filled. When I get their BIOS, I’ll make it official.
