The conclusion to our 2-parter is up at last! Abuse of Technology finally reveals the identity of the chief of police! Oh and there’s some epic battle and stuff …

And now, a special announcement. Anyone whose coming to CNAnime might wanna look out for 6 conspicous people wearing MM3 shirts ….. because they’ll be the ‘Maniacs in the flesh! That’s right, six of the eight members are coming to Toronto to meet up in real life. And you can say hello (you stalker you). This is a first in the team scene so we’re all really stoked for it. Maybe you’ll even see me …. the mysterious Gauntlet! (Of course you won’t know who I am since nobody knows what I look like …. take THAT!)

In other news ….. I really got to get cracking on writing more MM Mysteries. Believe it or not, there’s even more I can write about for quite a few games there …..

You have ….. NO idea how long I’ve been waiting to announce this.

Megaman Mysteries now encompasses Megaman Battle Network! I’ve scoured the internet for all the BN beta images I could find to bring you a very long and in-depth article on the differences between the final version and the beta as seen in many, many, MANY screenshots.

This is also the first mystery article NOT written by me. I like Battle Network, but I’m not certain of my knowledge. And so, this article was written by Raijin K. Take a bow!

Captain N galleries Online! Massive Image Gallery Overhaul!

What!? Oh, yes, you read me right …. over 2,000 screen caps from Seasons 1 & 2 of Captain N with a LARGE focus on Megaman are now housed at the Mechanical Maniacs in our very own Captain N Galleries!

Sadly, season 3 is not yet here, but rest assured: when it’s finally released for this region there’ll be even more screen captures. That’s something you can look forward to.

And to go along with this massive update is an equally massive upgrade to our image galleries. We’re now operating out of a Coppermine gallery because it’s a pain to make a page for over 2,000 images of Captain N. I may as well upgrade the entire system. In the future, the sprite galleries might also be added to this, but not all of the image galleries are found on the Coppermine gallery. Simply put, it isn’t the best way to host every image gallery we have, believe it or not. But it is the best way to host MOST of the image galleries we have, hence the change.

And now, if you’ll excuse me …. I’m pooped.

Considering the overall lack of activity, I’ve decided to push up this week’s update by a few days. I’ve added some small things here and there.

Firstly, the Asian PC games has a could new images to go with it, namely in Rockman 123’s entry.

I’ve added one entry to all of the sections in the …. pirate games article!? Yeah, I never planned on updating that again, but I found some things that just HAD to be added, even if it was just one per section.

The Cell phone games article features the latest games along with one older game I neglected to put on there. As always, a BUNCH of screens have been put on the screens section of that article (separated out due to sheer number of screens).

The miscellaneous sprites section has some guest entries along with a sheet of E-tank sprites that I compiled. Having all of them on one sheet occasionally comes in handy.

Miscellaneous pictures also features some fan art submitted over the last few months. Sorry it took me so long to get these up!

My Gallery features art of the Wily Rescue Force (meaning the Deamwave robot masters and Cap N Doc Wily).

And finally, Raijin’s gallery features alot of nice art, including character designs for the ‘Maniac’s Transmetal 2 armor!

I don’t know when new ‘Maniacs Moments will be up. Hard’s life must be getting in the way of those little comics. So, I’ve put up an appropriate message.

No Update!

That’s right, there’s no updates today!

Sorry, folks. While it was unnannounced, I just got back from my visit to Japan and I’ve been bushed. So, there’s been no updates for the last little bit. Still, there’s a few things in the works, so stay tuned!

New forum! Old X-F epilogues!

Yes, that’s right! Although I don’t like to move after only a year, we’ve moved the forum anyway! The downtimes, spambots, accidental bannings, and everything else is done away with! The old board will be shut down about Sunday, so save what you want quick.

In other news, Ben has found some old X-Force stuff which lets me update the Sinister Six’s X-Force epilogues section to be more complete.

Firstly, their origin story has been posted. Along with their very first epilogue, long thought forever lost. Next a new Dawn’s intro and part one of an ep that would forever change the X-Force (it was never finished). This introduced the last X-Force team which had Class and Ice in it. I’ve also added the X-Force:AU eps. Ben was very excited about the whole concept when he started, but it fizzles out after only four eps (in two two-part stories). Now he hates them. Nevertheless it’s there (and was referenced in one of my own eps). Finally, all the old bios that Ben gave me (along with the ones I could find on Archive.org) are now in a member’s section. Which about rounds the X-Force Nostalgia section off, I’d say.

The X-Force eps (along with the S6 ones) really meant allot to me. They were part of my very first experiences here in the Megaman Community (and the internet in general) and seeing them all as a complete set brings allot of good memories back. They may not mean much to new people, but to me they’ll always be special. So check ’em out if you haven’t already!

Contest update! Old Stuff!

Here’s something I’ve received a request or two (or one) about – the Design a Villain contest!

I have to admit ….. I’ve been negligent on announcing things on this. I thought I already did announce it, but …. no.

So, a winner has been decided upon! And the winner is ….

A SECRET!!

Yes, that’s right. You’ll have to wait until Wanted comes out to discover who the winner actually is. However, the winner has been contacted and knows he/she won. Rich is still working on the prize. So, if you weren’t contacted, you didn’t win, but I thank you for participating.

What is up, however, is all the entries for the contest. So you can browse all the loathsome villains made for the contest.

In other news ….. I found some old stuff while going on my incessant search for some way of recovering the first Hardman’s bio (a thorn in my side for a LONG time). Skullman’s bio has been found! (The one he did for Megaman United). He got this site started and now his bio is up on the special thanks page. I also found the ORIGINAL bio for Topman, who was the webmaster here very briefly before I took over. Sadly I didn’t find Hardman’s bio.

The archive of the first layout has been updated with the original files I found on a CD (which had Top’s bio). The one on the site was a reconstruction I made base don my memory….. this is MUCH closer to the truth! Although I did change it to be more of a medium from where the site first started but before I fully took over and added a background image and took off the background MIDIs. Newbies take note: there is hope for you. Just look how much better I got at this. Don’t get discouraged.

Some (one) person has asked about ‘Maniacs Moments not being updated. The answer is simple. Hard hasn’t sent me any new ones. Send Hard some fan mail to get him motivated. But, unlike me, Hard has a life so unimportant things like jobs and girls get in the way of his work. Yeah, I know ….. for shame.
